£42.65 paid off a CC (a combination of recycled groceries and home maintenance budget through Amaz0n and Mr M's), cashback, H@lifax reward and a very small TT.
Slowly but surely chipping my way into the roots of this debt glacier...
In unrelated news, I did make a small household purchase by buying a yoghurt maker :j DD and I eat it every weekday and I was getting a bit sick of the plastic tubs. Granted, these will be replaced by tetrapacks, but our LA recycles these. Will pay for itself in less than a year, bought a 'like new' refurbished one.
Edit: and another £0.65 paid off because I am hardcore.0 -

Yup, hardcore yoghurt eating, old school...
Made leek, spinach and stilton soup, delicious! Not bad for a foosty leek, some freezer spinach and a lump of reduced Christmas cheese.0 -
:rotfl: Don't really like the sound of the fake meat, to be honest. I try not to eat anything I can't make myself and I don't think I could make that.
Re. council tax - there isn't any financial benefit but it's nice to not think about it for a year. I hate paying tax and the less I need to think about it, the better.
Leek, spinach and stilton soup sounds delicious. I think I need to get back into cooking most nights.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

Terrible night's sleep, but better start to the morning with a trip to the gym, a coffee with Mrs E and DD (who had her first dancing class beforehand), a brief visit to the park and a nice veggie cooked breakfast :j
Will be watching the rugby this afternoon (not ashamed to say I'll probably bribe DD with the tablet for the duration) and the housework has all been done
Then off to friends for some games and a wee takeaway at dinner time.
£0.74 paid off a CC, off to list some books for sale on Amazon.
Have a lovely weekend all.0 -
Ooh, what kind of dancing is DD doing? I could hardly walk when I was little, my feet were so flat - I was recommended to go to ballet lessons, which opened up a whole new world
It sounds a lovely day once you're up and about, Ed2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
That's a very good question KC, I will endeavour to find out!
Suspect it's just basic introductory stuff, she's only 2 and a bit after all.
£5 paid off CC (used one of our last Mr M's vouchers for groceries).0
