    Ed, OMG, those breakfasts sound fantastic, and as you probably know I'm a vegetarian :smiley:  Seriously love them!

    And great to hear the PB habit forming :):):)

    @Suffolk_lass - have just read this: NS&I 303 (2017 02) WEB.p65 (nsandi.com)  - it *is* now possible to specify particular bonds to cash in (and therefore avoid cashing in the oldest ones) - but it appears it (the request) is currently only able to be done by post, so adding some days to the normal period for redeeming them.

    No change here - still 12lb after 4 weeks. I eat what I said I would but added some bottled pears to the yogurt. I suspect the brownie and cake finger crumbs are paying me back. I really need to be strict for the next four or I will plateau

    @Suffolk_lass - cripes - 2.4lbs on! No booze until Valentine's Day. I had the cassoulet (wrong sort of beans)? And two small crispy turkey goujons. Back to basics today, 4.4lbs to lose in a fortnight 😓

    You can do it - well, we can do it! Don't be disheartened, your body is four weeks into twelve and has a bit of relearning to go. Mine too.

    After four weeks it is time to reflect on what is going well and where I am cheating, and what I plan to do after my first eight weeks. I suspect I am going to go to four treats a week at the end of my eight weeks - a glass of red wine (as Michael Mosley prescribes) and an occasional bit of bread, plus a bit of chocolate or ice cream once in a while. The rest, I can live without. My BMI has reduced by a couple and I want to lost at least the same amount of weight again to continue reducing the risks to me and my long-term health of being overweight.

    Have you had a reflect on what your naughty things are?

    @Suffolk_lass - ooft! I could write you a list!

    Bad times/habits - while drinking, weekends (I.e. "I've earned it"), late evenings (bored)?, feeling the need to "finish" leftovers etc.

    Naughty foods - large portions of carbs (family sized bag of crisps, three slices of toast), alcohol (I like a drink), meat (I think I'm a caveman), mixing naughty foods (50g of butter for those three slices of toast, a bit of mayo with that leftover chicken.... after the toast) 😊

    Argh, since today is the first of a new month (blimey, 2021 is pacing along, isn't it) I'm going to officially join in.  Michael Mosley,   I'm off to his websites, the 5:2 and the blood sugar.  Just checked his listings on Amazon, and kindle books are more expensive than paperbacks, so I'm not buying any at all.  Recipes are useless for me, I'm just going for the principles.

    Though I'll confess right now, I bought some oven chips at my last supermarket shop, *and* some baking potatoes ... I'm going in, I'm going to use them, watch out for the splash : :D

    @Karmacat - although I bought the BSD book for a fiver on K1ndle, I needn't have bothered, the principles are straightforward. My mum is also a fan and she buys almost all of the books, not entirely sure why? Still, she's retired and it's not like she can go out 🤷‍♂️
