I've just started chipping away at the Lowel debt with a payment of £10 to bring it to £295.

I think I'm going to take a 'payment a day' approach to this one even if that payment is a small one.

I can't wait until I'm done with all of this. Putting every available penny towards clearing debt definitely takes it's toll and it will be so nice to have that money available for nice things. That thought is keeping me going at times.

Just think of what you could do with the money once the debts are cleared!. Obviously you won't have to be so strict and can afford to treat yourself but also think about savings - do you have something in mind to save for? You're not very far away from being able to start saving, I found having a goal helped motivate me rather than saving for the sake of saving. Also if you are going to treat yourself make sure you budget for it first - no more loans/cc's!

Keep going, you're doing great :)

Definitely no more loans or credit cards, that lesson is well and truly learnt. I haven't thought about it to be honest but my initial thoughts are to start saving for a new car. My current car is 2009 and will likely need replaced in the next 2/3 years. How nice would it be to save for a car rather than taking finance?

    Thanks :)

I've made some more small payments to Lowell after some eBay sales. Down to around £280 now.
