New target - to be under £4000 by 30th April. £736.85 to go. No idea where I'm getting that from!

I meant to update my diary on the smaller Lowell debt, I've got it down to £325.00 by making small additional payments when I've saved money on something. I spent £12 in Tesco and paid with Clubcard vouchers so paid the £12 to Lowell.

That's the Shoosmiths agreement up and running. I have 6 months to pay £496.00. If I can repay that and the majority of the £325.00 owed to Lowell quickly I'll be under my self imposed target of <£4000 by the end of April.

    Wish me luck. :)

    Doing so well

Having a wobble is normal and keeping the focus is the hard bit. I have no doubt that you are going to continue to smash this.

    :money:

Hope all is good your end. :D

So far I've reduced the Shoosmiths debt from £496 to £351. Current owed is £4591.86.

I've made a bit of extra money from selling bits and bobs on Gumtree, an old bookcase, an unused roller blind, things like that. It's amazing what you can find around the house.

Payday this week so I'm hoping to get a lot closer to my <4k target.

I got a letter today from Barclays about an old account I had with an overdraft. I owed £1039 on it, in fact it was my single biggest debt. The letter says that they are reviewing charges, fees, etc and as a result I'm getting a refund of £242.77. That means I now owe them £796.23. I'm obviously pleased with that. :p

My current total debt stands at £4314.08.

That's brilliant, not far to go now! Do you have a new target for getting under £4k?

It's not the end of April yet. :rotfl:

Really though, I regret setting that target. I know I.m doing well at this, since October 2017 I've reduced what I owe by £7850.41. I'm just going to work away doing what I'm doing without adding the pressure of targets. If I could be debt free by the end of this year I would be very happy but I'll see how it goes.
