Clear Out - used up lots of hotel shower gels to top up handwash bottles. Rinsed some out when running a bath (still have some left to do this to, as had enough bubbles)

NSDs - 2 - not one yesterday - went to Sains to make use of a £12 off £60 voucher plus a triple Nectar points voucher. Spent £61.04 before voucher, so not too bad :)

Organise - set your budgets now, pay to your debt/savings first
    Food - £162.62/ £400 - need to update with OH's receipt
    Fuel (me) - £54.45/ £65
Social - £93.79/ £150 - had to pay friend back for some gig tickets we're all going to next Summer :)
    Toiletries - £2/ £10
    Clothes - £84.48/£100
Gifts - £23.48 - bought DD's bday card, a k1lner bottle for a HM alcohol Xmas present and some baby vests for nephew :)

Value for money - used the £12 off voucher at Sains, and the triple Nectar points voucher. Despite spending some points a month or so ago, I still have the equivalent of £78 in Necatr points left. Double up is on from Weds, and I plan to get nephew's Xmas toys from there using that offer.

    Exercise -

Mental health -more sleep than usual is helping here, as it's helping physical well-being

Be Christmas ready - Lists done in rough (on paper) - now just need to put them on laptop (whoops - must do this!!) - this is my job after updating on here!

Eat well - Yes :) We avoided Fri night takeaway last night :)

    Report/ Gratitudes -
    * tradesmen turning up when they say they will :)
    * using vouchers
    * finding (needed) baby vests for nephew half price :)
    * avoiding Fri night takeaway (I would have given in if OH had suggested it, too :o - but it was his idea to eat stuff from the freezer :))

Busy-ish day today - DS3 has swimming lessons, DS1 is poppy selling with army cadets for 3 hours (needs taking and collecting), DS2 is off to watch the rugby (Glaaaaw-ster!) with OH for a few hours and we still only have just my car.... Also need to get all 3 to do/ start the homework and get lots of washing and ironing done.
Best get a move on, I suppose.... ;)

    Good Morning Lovely Turtles

    Still on NSD4 /12

Yesterday was ct credit day so had a wander around the cheapy/reduced/short dated shops and bought random bits and things and stuff for lunchboxes to be a bit more interesting, and a couple of CS.

Organise- in limbo over the plasterer. Trying not to spend until he needs paying but realistically that could be in a fortnight, if he turns up. going to a craft fair today, have organised all my various vouchers for various supermarkets and shops. Will need to work out a route to take me past them all in a circuit.

Value for Money - all those vouchers through my door

Exercise - ahem (backs slowly out of the room):naughty:

Mental Health - fine, thanks for asking

Be Xmas ready - found the vegan dark chocolate lebkuchen hearts in Mr Aldee, 99p a pack and totally lush (red packet not blue one), but bizarrely only the hearts are vegan, not the rounds. Will pick up some more next week. One packet a week is enough - we will only eat them, and the stollen - but not until December Found 2 books for DS2 in the CS he will love - 75p for 2, rrp £6.99 each. Look brand new.

Eat well - ate the lebkuchen hearts well enough. !!!!!!, and the hearts were gone! between 5 of us, it was not just me. No, honestly it really wasn't just me. And there are two left for DS1 who was being held hostage by his duvet.

    Report in daily - Hiya!:hello:

  • Hello everyone

Just got back from Amsterdam and ready to jump back on the wagon.

NSDs- NSD 4/12. Believe it or not I didn’t spend anything yesterday. In fact I spent very little whilst I was away. Most spends came from our holiday fund.

Organise!- Washing basket is overflowing, house needs a good tidy. Need I go on?

Value for money!- I was on holiday so wasn’t really counting the pennies

Exercise!- Lots and lots and lots of walking.

    Mental health!-Feeling refreshed.

Be Christmas ready!- Need to try to finish that this monh

Eat well!- Did quite well. I love all that fish and salads. Resisted the Dutch apple cake and little or no snacking. Unfortunately the same can’t be said of the drinking.

    Gratitudes – Lovely holiday
Coming back to my son (I do miss him when we’re away)
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    It's a good idea if:
    * you cancel/ massively reduce your overdraft limit as a result (eg: have a limit of, say £50-£100, to stop any unauthorised of fees, just in case)
    * you are disciplined enough to then pay it down - ideally not just by the min payment a month, but perhaps the amount of your of fee each month as well? Perhaps figure out how much you need to pay off each month to fully repay it by the end of the 0% period

    It's a bad idea if:
    * you keep the full £1500 of limit after transferring it to CC
    * you only make min payment to CC without taking into account the end date

    Good points:
you will save on interest and odft fees :)

Personally, I'd do it - but it's not for everyone :)

Still on 6/18NSDs even though today should have been a nsd. So some stupid person decided that the big pkt of frozen sausages could do with a bash to separate them & might have done that on the ceramic hob. Ys sausages turned out to be sooooooo expensive. On the plus side I did find a hob on clearance for £92. I have had to borrow again but this has definitely reinforced the need for an emergency fund. I get paid Friday so can pay this back then.

Organize - getting a mind list together for what I need to get done next week, will transfer to paper tomorrow

Value for money - saved £18 getting a clearance hob

Exercise - not yet, not looking good either

Mental health - feel like its one step forward and one step back and this is how its always been so its starting to get me down but others have bigger problems so must stay positive

Be Christmas ready - not yet but not stressing over it either

Eat well - its Saturday so ate what we wanted but still wasn't rubbish, however I have just poured a rum & coke and may have another

Thankful for - everything, I always try to thank my lucky stars no matter what life throws at me, I am grateful for life, love and material things.
