However when I tried the SAGA Telephone Account application page it went to a BM notice saying Product Unavailable.

Make of that what you will !!!0 -
Can anyone confirm how many Scottish Widows accounts you can have? I'm looking for 6 DD's (2 for 2 £3000 Tesco current accounts) Can each SW account only be linked to one current account?0

The SAGA Telephone Easy Access Account appears to be open again this evening - maybe it takes the weekend off ?
Not so the Birmingham Midshires Internet Saver - both the monthly and annual interest application variants go to the SAGA page- Product Unavailable.0 -
Update.
The two BM online applications are active again this morning, however the SAGA one goes to this BM page -
"Unfortunately, the Birmingham Midshires account you've selected is no longer available.
Please click 'Exit Application' to return to Birmingham Midshires website."0 -
The BM accounts seem available to apply for now but definitely on Sunday they were not available.Anyway having just read on the Top Easy Access Bank accounts thread re how long it takes to set up an account don't think I'll bother and maybe they could withdraw the DD facility as well by April 2018.
Need 2 DD' s instead of Tesco for a Barclays Blue reward acc, maybe something else will turn up !! Some BOS money will go to whichever are the Best RS late April -May.Chasing DD s seems ( for me ) a step too far when RS can give you the same or more than BOS at 2%0 -

Unlikely the DD will be withdrawn - it's their preferred funding method, almost a secret that you can pay in any other way.
And it may drag along compared to some but it's not as if you have to do anything but wait for a little time to pass... you've got until April.0 -

I know but anyway someone has just posted on the RS saver thread about Halifax,BOS and Lloyds RS going up 1st Dec so that will be 3 I'll be opening in case they get withdrawn.Still think BOS will "loose" a lot of money end of April0 -
My local credit union stated that their preferred method of payment in is Standing Order over (even though they do offer) DD.
Presumably due to cost.
I felt it would be morally wrong to proceed.0
