Received a letter saying all Birmingham Midshires easy access savings account will be closed between 24.11.22 and 24.12.22.
According to their website they're closing all accounts, not just easy access ones. It sounds like they're closing the brand down.

Bad news.  Mr Over62 and I have eight between us, generating direct debits to enable rewards on other accounts to be paid.  Major rethink needed.
Investigate Credit Unions. Many of them support DDs into accounts in your own name
Any suggestions for credit unions that use DD's?

Loads do. You should start by looking at those CUs which will take you as a member. Their websites will tell you whether you can be a member, and whether deposits can be made by DD.

https://www.findyourcreditunion.co.uk/ might help, though it is not totally comprehensive.

The account such as Coop require 4DD each month.
To pull money from COOP into PayPal Account by DD. Could you do that one after another pressing 4 times in the same day.
I remember someone was saying you could pull as low as 1p (instead of £1), is that correct ?

Plum also allow many DDS per month plus they set you up really quickly. I have a referral code if anyone's interested in opening.
I already have plum, so not interested currently. What I could see is that they only allow a minimum of £10.
What I have not tried is that to link several accounts pull the money and pull by Direct Debit .
Is it possible to pull money by DD from several current accounts from a single Plum acccount similar to what PayPal do ?.
Minimum DD with Plum is £1.

Only one current account can be linked by DD.

Can 2 Paypal accounts, with direct debits on separate current accounts, be used to send money to each other, to count as 2 DD's?
