I get up to six scam emails a day offering investments in Bitcoins - I never open or reply to these, I just forward them to the Phishing Police website.
People who scam love bitcoin because most people do not really understand it but also most people will have heard of it and know that it has risen in value significantly. As with everything - nobody should give money away to anybody without first researching it and ensuring it is legit.
As an aside since I made my prediction about bitcoin starting to grow in value again the price has increased over $1000. I predict we could see a new all time high by the end of this year.I am insane and have 4 mortgages - total mortgage debt £200k. Target to zero = 10 years! (2030)0 -

And I predict that it will crash again because it is a bubble.0 -

Seconded.
It its above $5,000 end of the year I will be surprised.
But I predict people will start to wake up and it will drop like a stone, and a very expensive lesson will be learned.0 -

Please watch what you are investing in. I put £300 into Bitcoin Trading, it is a scam, and I have reported it to police anti fraud and I only invested as it had been endorsed by Dragon's Den people, and it showed them all on tv investing their money, and a newspapers article that linked to the scam. I tried to withdraw my money as I felt something was not quite right, but withink 15 mins my money was gone. The website is still there and posted on Facebook. Can't afford to lose this so hoping that I will be able to claim in under section 75 as goods not received.0

I take it you do realise that part of the scam is that of course it was NOT endorsed by Dragon's Den people?
Did you use a credit card or Visa debit card? In which case you might well be able to get your money back.
Another part of the scam is Facebook itself, quite happy to rake in advertising revenue from these type of shysters and then plead innocence when their users are ripped off. Have you reported it to Facebook? Cancelled your Facebook account? If they are happy to leave you exposed to scams with no comeback (and self evidently they are) why do you provide them with all your personal data and let them rip you off?0
