    Evening everyone.
    Pay day again tomorrow .
As I have the money up for December bills it will all go streight to savings.

Just getting eldest from school. Then I'll be ordering my repeat prescription and doing a good shop.
I have quite a lot to get as need it too last over a week. And need to stock up on nappies etc. So not expecting it too be cheap. If I can get everything we need for less than £100 I'll be happy.

I'm challenging myself to not buy any cleaning products or toiletries until needed. I'm also going to go through the pantry on Saturday and bake snacks for the week.

I don't even have a list . I'll do one on my phone now while I wait for eldest.

    Have a lovely night all

    £600 in house account
    £150 in help to save.
    £5000 in emergency fund.
    £246 in bricklane

Is going up slowly. I wonder how much we can save by the 1st of January. £1500 would be a good aim :)

Cracking on with my diploma today
Beef casserole in the slow cooker
Going to do some skip runs when I pick eldest up then ive got to go and get my uniform about an hour's drive away
Come home eat tea watch a film. With the kids and then do some more of my diploma.
Want to get this piece of diploma work done by the weekend so I can start the next piece. Want it finished as soon as possible.

I also need to renew the TV licence and phone tax credits and book a dentist appointment this week.

Not working so much at the moment. Trying to get a nice balance of work and home life will focus on only doing 36 hours a week. Should still be able to save a decent amount working those hours.

    Evening everyone .

Did a 12 hour shift at work today. And crashed my car on the way home. I'm not injured. Although my whole body aches. I've asked to be taken off my next few shifts until later next week.
Insurance has been contacted. Police came to me my car has an SOS and it called the emergency services within minutes of crashing. I'm just glad I walked out unharmed and no one was in the car with me.

Off to take my tablets and go to bed as it's ds2 birthday tomorrow.

Hopefully be able to get a courtesy car sorted.

    Hope everyone is well
    Take care x

Been to the doctors today. As my symptoms have got worse.
I've got severe whiplash and concussion. Been told to rest and sleep as much as possible .
I'm not due into work until Thursday. If I'm no better by Wednesday they are going to sign me off work for a few weeks to fully recover

Upside is we have hit £1k in our moving fund

    Accounts summery
    Bricklane 246
    Emergency fund 5000
    Help to save 150 + (75 bonus)
    Moving costs 1000

Hope to get another 1000 in savings this month. Not sure if that will be possible with having a lower wage this week but we will see.

I've paid the TV licence for the year.
Also paid the council tax for this month and January so no payment due there until April now as we pay over ten months. So Jan Feb and march I'll put the 115 into the savings.
We want 8k in the moving costs account and 25k in the deposit account before we start looking. If we can get 16500 in savings by December 2019 we will be half way .

We are doing a no spend year in 2019 again. We did well this year. But could of done better.

I keep telling myself every pound spend is a pound less saved. :money:

I'll keep a monthly update of totals as we go through the year

As we are at the beginning of December what better time to set some challenges.

    Financial
    1. add another £1k to savings.
    2. Have ten no spend days
    3. Stick to a food budget of £50 or less per week

    Personal
    1. Complete all diploma work that is set
    2. Cut down to 5 cups of tea a day
    3. Cut down to less than 10 cigarettes a day

    Family
    1. Watch a Xmas film every day.
    2. Bake a cake
    3. Have 4 free afternoon / days out

I'm not going to over load us as I feel that is setting us up to fail.

If we can save around £1193 a month between now and Dec 2019 if we want to add another £15,500 to our savings.

Even if I have to take on a lot of extra hours some months. I'm determined to have 16.5k in our house fund by next December :)
I'll have to find out what the overtime rate is at my new job that I start in January.

I've done a rough but thorough budget for 2019 . It's going to be tight but not impossible to achieve our goal.
To achieve it I will have to quit smoking. As there is no money left in the budget for it but what better reason to finally give it up.
We are awaiting confirmation on the tax credits as they made an error on our claim. So will update it when I have the real amount. As I have just put a guesstimate for now.

Off to do some of my diploma.

I've decided once my diploma is done I'm going to get back into reading and baking and adult colouring to fill my time

    Night all :)
