3 years 9 months until we turn 30!
Still don't have a start date for my new job. But I have an interview on Friday with a local agency. I have another 3 to call back too but going to see how this goes first.
My new job is 24 hours a week. And I'm hoping to get 12 hours each week with an agency or overtime at work. Also going to crack on with eb!y and fb selling.
My car is booked in to be sprayed as its been keyed. I'll then be taking it straight to the garage to sell it. The tax on the car needs renewing on the 31st. It's only 30 odd pound so that's OK.
Once the car is sold I'm going to pay off our remaining debt. The rest will go into savings. And we will move onto our house fund once we hit 5k in our emergency fund.
Xmas this year Ill be spending as little as possible... I love Xmas but hate the commercialisation of it all. Xmas should be about family and memories not the gifts.
I had been worrying about money the last week or so. With not having a start date for my new job and my last shift at my current job being Sunday. But I'm now feeling a little more at ease.
We played uno again last night. Had a good laugh.
This week I have 4 shifts at work. A meeting at school regarding ds2. Ds1 parents evening.
And I need to crack on with my diploma and get my latest peice of work finished.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -

Hello... Hope everyone has had a lovely day.
Ds2s Meeting at school went as expected. They are applying for an EHCP and He will continue part time with a 1-1 TA. I really cannot praise the school enough for everything they have done and continue to do for him.
On a financial note. I lost motivation the last few months but I'm back on track and determined more than ever to do this...
If my calculations are correct we could be looking at buying as early as July 2020 thats the month we both turn 28!
To be able to save a house deposit of between 10-15% while raising 3 kids and having the living costs of running a home would be pretty impressive. ! So the countdown In January will begin to see how quick we can do it. I would like to add though we want a specific area and will wait until a house becomes available in that area.
I'm actually quite excited about the prospect of buying in 2 years or less instead of 4 or 5.
Ill update with my plan once. I know or new income exactly.
we continue to work on achieving our current aims. No excuses. No B$ we are doing this....
So the countdown begins . I'm giving us 24 months to get The following done.
[*]5000 in our emergency fund
[*]debt free
[*]20000 In house deposit
[*]10000 in moving costs fund
Let's do this!

Ive blended our porridge oats to make ready brek. Kids like smooth porridge :rotfl:
Payed 75p for 1kg of oats. I know sainsburys ready oats are 1.50 for 750g so I've paid less than half compared to buying the supermarket brand
Also in the middle of making my own sausage stuffing.
Need to crack on with everything else now.
Housework done. Just our room to do.June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20460 -
