URGENT Citibank 1% Cashback

Thanks for the replies. That sounds about right for citibank. Six different answers from two different reps. They don't know the meaning of customer services. A lot of the time, they can't even understand what you say.
3 - 4 weeks sounds like a long time to wait for a card to come through. It sounds like it was well before Martin posted his thread about this card being finally withdrawn altogether. Very dirty way to do business if you ask me.0 -

I called them up and had a moan ... after 3 of 4 calls they said it wasn't possible to put the cashback on my card unless I had proof that I applied for a cashback card. The deal isnt on Moneysuperket now so I have no proof - I'm off elsewhere and I envy my brother for getting the cashback card!!
Classic example of citibank service, again!!
I wonder if your brother will actually get any cashback. Would be very interested to know if that is indeed the case.0 -
Online, my account shows a nice fat 0 on the cashback section. On my brothers, it has started to accumulate. Thats what got me on their case in the first place. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

I did a bit of googling - and found that Citibank service seems to be a bit lacking!
By the way - did you know that the Japanese word for Citibank is 'sh!tibanku' ! :-)0 -

That must be the understatement of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Golden rule is never trust a bank that can't spell city properly.
Although I do like the Japanese version.
Looks like http://www.shi tibank.com is already taken though.0 -
Martin did you get anywhere with asking Citibank for a response on this?I can read the complaints above. I have to say I tend to ignore what managers and customers service operatives know as they tend to be the last in the loop and often get the wrong end of the stick. This is what i am going to do - i'm going to ask (next week now due to bank holiday) someone from Citibank to come on here and explain themselves!0

martin , i keep coming back to this thread wondering what their response is0

HI guys,
We've spoken to Citibank about this a number of times and have been assured that they are working on the issue and will respond when they have investigated it more and hopefully have something constructive to say.
Don't worry though, we'll keep chasing them up to make sure that an official response does get on here.Former MSE team member0 -
Thanks for the update Dan. I wrote off to the CEO ages ago and didn't even get a response back.
