Have you sent the blue text initial appeal to the PPC?

Have you complained to Toys R Us?

I emailed the PPC on the day but I think I need to send them a letter as per the information from their website

I haven't complained to Toys R us as i didn't buy anything from there as we went shopping but decided against purchasing anything

Unless you appeal precisely as per their instructions, in most cases the PPC will ignore you, time you out of their 28 day appeal window, then you’re stuffed for getting this cancelled by POPLA.

I suspect you didn’t provide them with your name and full postal address either in that email?

Meaningless - you were a customer, the fact that you bought nothing that day doesn’t detract from the fact that you were a customer. You could easily have been on an initial trip to check big ticket items you are proposing to purchase for kids/grandkids for forthcoming Christmas. There’ll be dozens of people doing just that, today, tomorrow and every day leading up to the big day. Get complaining.

    Thanks,

I'll go there today or tommorow and speak to them.

I just tell them I am not happy with this and i want them to cancel the Parking charge as we were in the store?

You need to speak with the manager, not the Customer Services person, as they will just fob you off. You’ll need to lay it on thick with the manager. Do you have any previous receipts (and/or bank/credit card statements) which prove you’ve been a previous customer? Take them with you.

Have you sent in the blue text initial appeal template from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1? Important you do that before the end of the PPCs 28 day deadline. Miss this with CEL and you’re looking at a potential court claim, which will just hit you out of the blue, possibly 2 or 3 years later, when you’ve almost forgotten about the case, complacently thinking that as you’ve heard nothing further, it’s all been forgotten about. Then, BANG! They have 6 years to issue a court claim.

PS - I wouldn’t be taking the photos of how you actually parked to show the manager - they do you no favours!

So I went to see the manager, after a 15 minute conversation I am no further. He said they have this issue every other day but the parking company take no notice.

He said I would have to follow the instructions on the parking ticket.

I have posted the blue text initial appeal adding a bit extra and will await their reply

That always worries me. What ‘extra’ did you add?
