The site www.australianuggboots.com.au are selling fake ugg boots under the name ugg boots and not specifying that this is the case. They lure you in with half price Ugg boots, however this is actually an extortionate price for fakes.
Please beware! I hope I get my refund, not holding my breath though!

maybe if people read the FAQ's they would see that UGG is actually the style of footwear, not brand.
quoted from the above website
Do you sell the "UGG Australia" sheepskin boots?
We get this question regularly and the answer is NO! We sell our own products, manufactured here in Melbourne, Australia by Binder Productions Pty Ltd. We are not affiliated to the US company that own the UGG Australia brand - called Deckers. The word Ug,Ugh,Ugg has been associated with a style (not brand)of footwear for many years in Australia so you will find many people advertising ug,ugg or ugh boots. The word ugg is found in the Macquarie Dictionary. Most of the UGG AustraliaTM production occurs in China and not in Australia.

Yup, "UGG" is a style of shoe, not a trademark brand name. You can even look it up on wikipidia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugg_boots
- it'll tell you the history of UGG and why all the confusion...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Australian makers won a court case over this a couple of years ago, it effectively negated the trademark certainly in Australia, and I think similar action was to follow in Europe and America.

we found is Amazon, although probably not as cheap as you got them. Even if they do wind up being good copies, you've got some comeback.0 -

I signed up today to get some practical advice for my granddaughter's birthday present (she wants 'uggs' and I couldn't care less if that's the brand name or not!), and straight away see nasty little comments like this one. Is this what the MSE forum is like then? I had a look around at some other comments on different subjects, and I notice the same thing going on.
Like my old dad used to say 'if you can't say something useful, keep it shut!'. Good advice?0 -
I have to agree. This used to be quite a friendly place to come - not any more it seems.
And if you're going to be nasty at least try to use at least some punctuation.0
