Fake Ugg boots beware!

UGG is a brand name in USA and Europe, if not in Australia.
I have just been duped. Bought 3 pairs from www.alluggsnow.com
As soon as I bought them I had a moment of clarity and guessed they were fake/a scam. The clue was that there was no address or telephone number on the website! Duh! But too late. I contacted my bank straight away who took the details but said I would have to contact the company and wait and see if they arrive. I contacted the company using their online form to say I wanted to cancel the order. They emailed me and said it was too late the order had been despatched. There were chinese symbols on the email so it was my first clue it was a company based in China (the website leads you to believe it is an american company, where UGG Australia is based. Today I got a letter from Deckers Europe who own the UGG Australia brand name to say that my boots have arrived in England but have been seized by the UK Border Agency as they are counterfeits, and will be destroyed. This is also confirmed by a letter from the UK Border Agency.
I have contacted the alluggsnow again by email, sending them scans of the letters from Deckers and UKBA and asking for a refund. I have also got a form to complete from my bank (First Direct) which I will be submitting with the letters. First Direct will be trying to organise reimbursement.
If you want UGG branded boots only buy through outlets listed on the UGG Australia website.0 -

I have spent the last week dealing with another site that says they sold Australian UGG Boots. Ugg is a type of boot. The name brand is Aukoala. They say they're the same and they guarantee that you're happy or your money back. When I found out they weren't the right ones, I emailed to cancel the order but they still sent them then refused to give me my money back. Fact is, they're a scam. They're not the UGG Australia boots that you find in Browns shoes or in Nordstrom's. They're in fact a knockoff brand that Aukoala makes. the website I got them from is up and down all the time and now the emails to the customer service are bouncing back to me. I reported them to paypal which is how people pay for them and they are dealing with the company and bouncing them off paypal. AVOID

Truthfully, Nordstoms has a great deal on them right now. Better off to buy what you know is the real thing.0 -

I've looked at the aukoala website and they seem pretty clear that they are not selling UGG-brand boots.
http://www.aukoala.co.uk/
They are selling UGG-style boots, their boots have the aukoala brand on their boots.
You say 'they weren't the right ones' - what exactly do you mean by this?
Did you think they would be branded UGG?
Did the website you used (which I can't access, btw) say they would be branded UGG?
It looks like you were expecting UGG brand boots but bought uakoala brand instead.
There seems to be quite a few different brands on the market - UGG, aukoala, EMU for example that are made of the same materials.
It's only a scam if you were led to believe you were buying UGG brand boots.
Therefore I'm not convinced that you have bought a 'knock-off' brand (unless as I said earlier the website you bought from said your boots would be UGG-brand), you've just bought a different brand.
I'd be interested to hear what exactly the website description said.
I must say, however, that the grammar on the aukoala website under 'Story' looks a bit 'iffy'.0 -
