As this is a LBA you MUST respond
However, by only offering 14 days it CLEARLY cannot comply with the new Pre Action Protocols for Debts that came into force 1st October.
So, you do your research on here - about 5 minutes - and come up with a response that tells them to shove their current LBA where the sun doesnt shine, and to send you the one theyre legally obligated to send.0 -

as they are clearly extracting the £$%^&* with UK legislation , should they not be reported to a relevant body , who would curtail and possibly fine them?Save a Rachael

Which body would that be?
Not the SRA, as this is MIL
Its up to the courts to sanction them for breaching the PAP.0 -
yes I understand the SRA , MIL problems
Its up to the courts to sanction them for breaching the PAP.
yes , but which "body" would implement such a charge to be brought to court?
this would be a criminal offence , not a civil one ,Save a Rachael

You could try reporting them to the police...0

I was making the point that people have been asking who to report this abuse to for a long time.0 -

No, but there have been issues with MIL doing this, according to the Prankster, for several years.
Examples include breach of the Pre-Action Protocol - demanding payment or reply to an LBCCC in seven days, misuse of data, misuse of assignments, not having valid assignments and many other things. This is also all over this forum, so it's not new.0 -
Ok do I have spoken to dvla , they said they sent sure about who by or when data was requested , and that I would need to fill out a v888 form to request to find out however that takes 2-4 weeks , they also said it might be worthwhile reporting to trading standards the CPMS & MIL , again I am now unsure what to do next as they have only given me 14 days before they take action0
