Ah... well... if it were I wouldn't have managed to negotiate my way through about 20 odd deals without falling on a fence. And I am fully aware of the risks of a fall!
Actually it IS a bit like a race; have to be a few fallers along the way otherwise they wouldn't put the fences up.0 -
I'm thinking of those that believe it is soooooooo easy and ignore the small print on those ads in the back of the paper! :rotfl:
The kind that Watchdog just loves!Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
Now there I agree totally! Watchdog is only there for its own good. Used to be much better, sadly. I must admit I am still amazed at the things people do with these deals. I was SO careful on my first one... viewed it totally as a risk/reward investment. After all, I didn't even need a mobile phone, that alone a contract. However, now I don't use my landline so am saving money on that too. Silly mistakes cost a fortune though. And it's not always entirely their fault. Much is rather self-inflicted though. This place is also a double-edged sword; it helps a higher proportion succeed and that's bad for those who are already successful. It also provides a vehicle for people who got things wrong or took all the wrong risks and got burned to start a crusade. That rarely is a good thing in my view.
Numpties. Can't help smiling (again) at that phrase. Lol!0 -

Rogue Traders; yes, can be amazing how easily people part with their money. Depressing too!0
-
It is a simple rule, reputable traders won't ask for cash until completion, yet.... :rolleyes2
However, the two presenters make me laugh too :rotfl:Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
Can you believe that the non spanish one actually appeared on a bbc consumer program with his mum (I think it was watchdog ) and they were so impressed by him that they gave him a job in 'rogue traders'. At least that is how I think the story goes.
I must admit that these traders don't usually get stopped completely(just look at how many times the programme features repeat offenders) but I do enjoy them getting caught in the act and having to make a quick getaway when confronted0
