  • I have asked the so called IMPDA to go back to the hole they came out of , and let us all get on with our lives and businesses.

To get a mobile phone contract you have to be an adult, and adults do not need someone with no authority sticking thier awe in for self publicity.

I know what my customers want, and that is a good deal and a great service.

I try my best for both, and between me and the customer, we decide on the offer. We each negotiate a deal and everyone is happy. Thats the way of the world.

I have kicked up such a stink about the actions of the IMPDA, as i find their actions condescending to say the least.

As MobileJunkie has already stated, The deals are not as good now.

The odds for winning the game of cashback have reduced for the dealer, as they now should be offering 60 days redemption periods, so have more chance of paying out.

You will see even further cuts as regulations take place, but do you want the deals cut all together, because an unelected, self promoting organisation say's that you should for your own protection, whilst offering advertising space at £200 a month on its own website.

I have been selling phones since 1988, and have gone through many battles in the past with networks and suppliers, which have all been resolved to both of our satisfaction.

I do not need this organisation, to fight for me, and I am sure that you would like to still have the opportunity of taking up an offer if you wish. Freedom of choice.
  • All i want is two simple things from mobile tariff how much are calls and text's,

    I agree with mobilejunkie.

This site is about money saving and that's not always easy or straightforward but the rewards are there if you're prepared to put in the legwork first.

This site helps enormously with advise and the experience of others in invaluable but who you choose to take a contract out with is utimately your decision, which should be based on the level of risk to reward you're prepared to take.

Please lets not have more busybodies telling me what's best.

Are those that want to ban cashback the same 'them' that seem each year to try to ban Christmas?

If they could gain publicity from it i am sure they would give it a go.

By the way, it definately is on watchdog next wednesday but the founder of the impda could not appear as he has the flu.

Right, I watched it and I thought its absolutely pathetic how these companies operate. In this instance, they chose chatterbox.com who blamed 3 network in one of their examples. I agree networks share the blame for offering unrealistic expectations and something needs to be done to tighten up their acts which ultmately leads to misleading customers at the end.

Unfortunately tightening up the acts of the network reduces the plays for the customers. That's already happening. Laissez-faire and caveat emptor!

When will people wake up, you can't have a business model giving away free phones and free line rental to all...

The model has to have numpties that fail, making it too easy means nobody gets paid when the company goes under...

All pretty obvious really, isn't it? But the answer is never. There is always a constant stream of people coming on here after MONTHS of bad feedback on the companies they've gone with, having done virtually all the basics wrong, made far too many assumptions and put very little time and research into things beforehand. Amazing what something so attractive can do to peoples' minds! Lol!

Reminds me of those famous words from "Wall Street"... something about the market being driven by "fear and greed"... Never so true!! In this case it's greed to get something for nothing, then fear of getting nothing for something!

I like the numpties line. Lol!
