  • Like many people mention above about this company, the media (tv and radio) surveys rewarded me enough to make me continue for a few months (£5 and £2 in the first two months) but nothing since then (now ten months in) and I find this a bit odd so I'm giving up and wish I hadn't bothered for so long. They changed the way they announce bigger reward winners a few months ago so it seems even less transparent than ever and I definitely wouldn't advise a friend to bother.

First rule of survey taking - never do surveys for "competition entries". It's just a way for them to make more money, I highly doubt that every single person you see on the (often hard to find) winners lists are real people.

I do feel that the current form of GFK Media is less appealing than it used to be. I did win the £50 loyalty bonus prize two months in a row last year which greatly surprised me! At least seeing my name on their winners list for those months did reassure me that perhaps they are genuine!

With the current prize lineup I am not so keen. Though did get a £1 last week even although I only did the one survey that week! So may be I might stick with them for a while longer!

I won £500 on the GfK Media survey a few years back - I hope that makes me 'real' :rotfl:

If you are with Inbox Pounds, there is an offer on there to join GFK Media View for £1.00.

Have been a member of this site for just over a year - been OK, I don't watch much TV in all honesty but still got £22 Amazon vouchers.

However when I clicked on the daily reminder today I got this:

We are sorry to say that your contributions are no longer needed for our panel. We thank you for your past contributions and apologise for any inconvenience this causes.'

Now this is fair enough - except what happens to the points I have accumulated? (about 18,000)?
Also - why not send an email to say my services are no longer required?
And - why have I just received the second daily reminder to do the survey, even though the end result is exactly the same message?:rotfl:

This seems a very strange company to me...

How nice of them to suddenly decide to kick you out without even allowing you to cash in your points Chrissie.

You don't 'cash in' your points on the GFK mediaview. You can only use them to enter prize draws.

However, I understand your frustration Chrissie, as I imagine you must have been building those 18,000 points up for quite a while & could have bagged yourself quite a few entries into some of the prize draws. I hope you manage to sort this issue out.

Cash/Redeem in, via various prize draw entries, such as the chance to win a £1 voucher for some website you have never heard off (although is there still the loophole that you are sent a £1 voucher code but there is nothing stopping you using said code to get say an Amazon voucher

    Just to reply to this, as I was Googling for an answer about redemption AskGFK for ages... this is what I got from them;
Congratulations for redeeming your AskGfK points! Balances redeemed for vouchers are processed on the first working day of each month – you should receive your £15 voucher by the 5th working day.

The email containing your voucher will also include a link so that you can redeem your voucher for vouchers to retailers such as Amazon, M&S, and many more.

Thank you for your patience and your continued contributions to our panel.
