Good evening,
I have received the particulars of the claim and now the notice of proposed allocation to the small claims track.
I really don't want nor do I have the time to go court because of all this, what is the next step I should take? (Also please I would appreciate it if you do not refer me to another thread or newbies or the generic answer that I see is usually given)0 -
sorry to say that you dont want to hear this
BUT
BARGEPOLE explains it in a thread linked in post #2 of that NEWBIES sticky thread
so you are invited to read it , because nobody here is going to reproduce it for you
this is a free advice service run by volunteers
those same volunteers refer you to the information already given0 -

There is no certainty that this is going to court.0 -

This is about taking the tried & tested steps to get CEL to discontinue, as we've seen EVERY time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Did you use the text in your first post for your defence submission?0

Good evening,
I have today received a notice of allocation to the small claims track (hearing) letter from the Reading County Court...
The letter states that unless the claimant does by 4.00pm on the 29th March 2018 pay to the court the trial fee of £25 or file a properly completed application for help with fees, then the claim will be struck out with effect from 29 March 2018 without further order and, unless the court orders otherwise, you will also be liable for the costs which the defendant had incurred.
Is there anything I need to do now and what is the next step?
Kind Regards0 -
Your next step is to re-read Redx's post, that's post #23, which refers you to Bargepole's walkthrough in post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.
I know you have said "do not refer me to another thread or newbies or the generic answer that I see is usually given", but no-one is going to bother re-writing that stuff especially for you.0 -
It is so difficult to just tell me in simple terms what happens next? I don't need an essay for a response or atleast forward a link to what I should be looking at0

I can tell you what will probably happen. You'll get a letter from CEL saying they're discontinuing. If you do, it's all over. I had that letter from them on Saturday. Of course, you might not so you need to be ready to take the next steps and that info is all in the thread you've been pointed to.0 -
Did you take these steps yourself?0
