You are somewhat late to the party. Been some years since a surplus has been generated.0 -
It really is very simple the money that would have gone to the EU goes to the NHS.
The remainers call the leavers thick!:rotfl:

Depressingly true.
Governenment figures state we are all worse off.
Government lies about a brexit dividend.
Stupid people believe it.
Democracy fails us again.
Here's a crazy idea. Stop involving stupid people in how best to run a country. Let them concentrate on drinking stella, smacking kids and drooling on themselves. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

If TM loses then TM falls and a Brexiteer replaces her and we go for a GE.
A masterstroke by DD, the Grieve amendment brings down TM (or more likely it fails and the bill is unamended).0 -
Really, ha ha ha. It is a shame you were not posting just after the referendum or for the following near two years. The number of posts you fellow flat earth society Brexiters mentioned the Brexit dividend as coming from increased trade, magical economic growth and free trade deals with far away places covered page after page.
Now those society members no longer post, up you pop with a completely different message.
No longer is there a Brexit dividend from growth but it is now from not paying into the EU at some time in the future.
False Brexit, false dividend and by the way the earth is round.
Wow, save some straw for everyone else.
You've completely made all of that up! Who ever said you could either have trade growth, or savings from brexit? No one. So why bother making out people have changed their tune?0 -

When was it ever not? The savings from not contributing are significant. Seems a reluctance for others to step up to the plate in the UK's absence. What mugs we have been all these years.0 -
The savings from not contributing are absolutely insignificant, and very likely to be wiped out by the economic damage of leaving. Reports claim Brexit is already costing us about double the savings.0

Only in the crazy world of brexit would people cheer about saving a £1 and not worry whether it was costing £1.20 to achieve that saving.
People are talking about the membership fee's as they are relevant to the discussion today.
It doesn't mean that people have changed their position on any other effect of Brexit. My position on original benefits hasn't changed just because I am talking about a benefit to the NHS today.
I am somewhat confused as to why you feel a topic in isolation, relevant to today, can't be discussed without you assuming a position has changed. Unless of course you are looking for any single way you can to "have a pop", which seems to be the case here, in truth.0
