Never mind all the other stuff.
The EU are making my bourbon whisky 25% more expensive!
Seems were in a trade war. Thing is now, the EU is having a go at Trump for imposing tarrifs. They stated it was a bad and unjustified move. So what have they done? Copied it! Hurrah.
So being in the EU has, most certainly, made me a bourbon peasant.0 -

Yeah well trump started it with his tariffs on British steel so the good people of port talbot thank you for your sacrifice...:rotfl:“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Why shouldn't they respond? This is about Trump, not the EU. Otherwise, the EU would be the only ones doing it, as opposed to next door neighbour Canada and other countries.

Can you imagine being in a trade war on our own? If you can't see a benefit of the EU when it comes to stuff like this then you can't be helpedThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Your throw away remark definitely beats my throw away remark.
I bet you can back yours up with voting figures while I can only say that if young people in Europe are anything like the young people in Britain, sadly they hardly care.
This seems to bear out your view that 'young people in Britain, sadly they hardly care.'
Look at the picture:eek:

'At 11 am on Saturday 14 April two dozen Cambridge Stays supporters gathered in Market Square for a group photo and quick briefing before fanning out across the city with leaflets calling for a People!!!8217;s Vote on the final Brexit deal*. This was part of the largest ever joint grassroots anti-Brexit National Action Day, with over three hundred events taking place all across the UK, calling for the people of the UK to have a vote on the Brexit deal, with the option to remain a member of the EU if the deal isn!!!8217;t as good as EU membership.'

Take that as an opportunity. Scotch Whisky is a far better product and will now look better value than imported stuff.0 -
If you think that the EU retaliating against the US is a benefit for the UK, you're the one who can't be helped.
