Some potential good news on the subject of Galileo.

What is becoming clear is that the leavers will not get the Brexit they want. The remainers will not get to remain.
Britain appears not to have enough money to spend on public services and infrastructure unless Brexit delivers the huge bonus that has been promised by the Brexiters.
With 17 million people not prepared to listen to experts they look more and more like members of the flat earth society.
All very sad, disappointing and gloomy. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Brexit is a shambles?
This from Politico today showing some agreement.

SO, HOW!!!8217;S BREXIT GOING? Two angry diatribes from opposite ends of the political spectrum had Westminster agog last night, and what!!!8217;s striking is that, in one sense, both came to a similar conclusion. There can!!!8217;t be too much in this world that Britain!!!8217;s former EU Ambassador Ivan Rogers !!!8212; Europhile, measured, establishment !!!8212; and Vote Leave!!!8217;s Campaign Manager Dominic Cummings !!!8212; Euroskeptic, excitable, anarchic !!!8212; agree on, but then Brexit does funny things to people. In a 2,000-word blog, Cummings says Brexit is now !!!8220;a shambles,!!!8221; the negotiations !!!8220;irretrievably botched.!!!8221; And in a withering 11,000-word lecture, Rogers obliterates Theresa May!!!8217;s strategy and her !!!8220;folly!!!8221; in ruling out the Norwegian and Swiss models of EU relations. (The Telegraph!!!8217;s Peter Foster has a neat summary for those without an hour to spare.)

Interesting article, thanks Ballard. I don't really understand why we are at loggerheads over this. It was made clear early on that both sides wanted to work closely on security. Furthermore there are other mechanisms involved in the security in Europe that are outside of the EU, NATO and Five Eyes for example.
I do hope that this issue is solved as it is one of those issues that has people on both sides of the Brexit divide (and indeed in Europe) scratching their heads. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Our Remain friends on here seem suddenly emboldened for some reason.
Lest they forget the political imperative to leave the EU [STRIKE]and do it to a level that meets the expectations of the 17.4 million leave voters.[/STRIKE]
There's is only an imperative to leave the EU.
Whatever expectations leave voters have is quite irrelevant as your expectations might be different from Paul's from Barnsley who voted leave to stop Muslims coming to the UK.

Really don't think it does anyone any favours when so many posts have a small point, but a large dose of furiously trying to paint people who voted for brexit as raging racists.
You can't have any reasonable conversation if that's the gameplan - and it doesn't add anything to your posts, or the point - infact it dilutes any reasonable points you may have.0 -

But man from Barnsley's Brexit expectations probably won't be met. Whether that will trigger a constitutional crisis as Tromking claims is highly doubtful.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

And a women from Portsmouth's expectations who voted leave might be met.
I don't see the point in your statement - other than you wanted to post a racism slur. You have some reasonable points, but they are drowned out by your insistence on painting a picture people who voted leave based on your own prejudice.0 -

To claim that these expectations should be met to avoid a constitutional crisis is nonsense.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

Well, obviously.
As do those who voted remain.
As would be the case in any election for any political party, council elections and so on. Everyone has different expectations of everythign, NHS, Police, Solicitors.
That's pretty obvious. But you are always concentrating on a straw man exercise of making up the position of a racist person. The only expectation we can really discuss is that of leave vs remain. I.e. the overarching desire.0
