Brexit, the economy and house prices part 5

I can only say, I am sad that you did not use your vote in the referendum.
I assume you always vote in your local council elections and General elections.
Yes I do. As I abhor racism, I will be opposing Labour.
My other half is Jewish and she and her family can smell anti-Semitism like a fart in a lift. If she and they think Corbyn's an anti-Semite, I tend to believe them.0 -
Further Brexit related comment from Politico (todays email) updating us all on the progress of talks this week.
We are all hoping for progress.
This shows how scared the EU are that a no-deal is still quite possible:Brussels seeks emergency powers to prepare for hard Brexit.... the proposals would also give the commission and other EU regulators specific “emergency powers”, for a limited period, to handle the fallout from an abrupt UK exit.
The details remain unclear but one EU diplomat suggested that it could include waivers for companies in areas such as financial services. The diplomat said it could also give a grace period for lawyers or professionals based in Europe who rely on UK qualifications.0 -

It's the same as here. Faux outrage and a non-discussion of Mr Wigmore's comments.Graham_Devon wrote: »Sorry Hamish, but they are just saying the same "sort of" tactics were used.
The tactics that the nazi's used have been used over and over again in the political field. There are, afterall, only a handful of tactics available to any of us... so assuming that the Nazi's had a unique tactic that, so far, only brexit campaigners have mimicked is rather fanciful to say the least.
Secondly, you can, in an instant, say the very same about the fear campaign run by the remain side. That was, afterall, based on nothing but fear - it can't have been anything else as;
A) no one knew what the outcome would bethe majority of what the remain campaign led us to believe has not happened (and that's an outright fact!!)
Or was that somehow a different fear tactic? How many fear tactics are there? And wheres the official categorisation of such tactics?
Comment then especially upon the above highlighted in red if you seriously believe that it was a "non-discussion". Preferably in that thread since that is the one I asked you to read and in which the above quote comes from. THIS thread is about Brexit and the economy whereas that other is for discussion if you still want that, which I doubt.
You're trying to defend the indefensible, using Naziism and then racism in the past few days alone in your desperation to try and prove Brexit wrong. Still, at least you've proven your numeracy beyond single digits - just.0 -
I just looked back and realised something.ilovehouses wrote: »11
You first asked me to (further?) comment at post 8514, counting "8 or 9". So firstly even your numeracy in single digits is off.
Then directly after your original post I said exactly what I thought, calling it (rightly IMHO) a new "low" and expanding further later on.ilovehouses wrote: »Not much but hypocrisy annoys me.0 -

Who are you leaning towards then? If you're against racism then the Tories clearly aren't an option. Lib Dems?0 -

But he didn't mention anyone else to use those approaches. He mentioned the Nazis, by name. You are allowed to admit to the details of a recorded statement in the public domain. It won't turn you into a remoaner.0 -
Do not mind me I am just a thicko northerner Brexiteer:rotfl:
You certainly take offense to a lot but I doubt you're thick. I bet you're also less northern than me.
Regarding sources, there's a propensity (I can hear the outrage already) amongst the leavers and their pretend accounts on here to either misquote an article (usually without reading it), quote a misinterpreted article or just make up data.so it's not worth debating until I know what figures they are looking at.
When it's pointed out they resort to diversion and mud slinging. One is quite fond of accusing you of whatever you just blamed him for.
Now I know you looked at the real source I'll spend some time on it, but it does seem to largely agree with you. I haven't seen where it mentions the underemployed though.0 -

Instead of taking this thread more off-topic if you really want to discuss that subject use the thread in DT as I previously suggested. This thread is about Brexit and the economy.0 -

We're talking about a major player in the leave campaign; that's related to Brexit. It's only dragged on for What, 3 pages, because you're trying to avoid it.
Will you admit it on the DT thread or is that a waste of time too?0
