Not all Brexit voters are racists, but all racists are Brexit voters. You would do better if you dealt with that reality rather than jamming your fingers in your ears, shutting your eyes and pretending it somehow doesn't count because the will of the people.

Amazing. 16,000,000 remain voters and not a single racist among them. What are the odds on that?

Maybe if you'd like to move into the present you could share in what's going on, not what happened 40 years ago in your imagination. Although I appreciate that would put you at odds with most Brexiteers.

Speaks volumes. When 33% of members wish to see Ken Livingstone readmitted to the Labour party.

The voters are basically neck and neck, and the polls are only moving one way.

You lot can dish it out, but you certainly can’t take it.

Boris Johnson is not only in the Tory Party, he’s on the front bench. Under the watchful eyes of the Tory lords in the upper house worrying about the n***** in the woodpile.

Yeah, no racism to see here.

Aren’t you embarrassed that when up against Boris Johnson the best you can manage is ‘basically neck and neck’

"No siree, we're not racist at all. Never in a million years!"

All these allegations linking racism with the Leave campaign are just
a figment of the imagination of some bitter remoaners, don't you know? ;)

    Is this it then?

An almost 50-50 vote on Brexit leads to continued claims by one side that the other is racist; old; and uneducated. The other side claims they are all lefty liberals out of touch with the real world issues.

There's a good reason why there is no commonality of view amongst our politicians.

It's because there is no common view out there in the public arena.

We best get used to it. I can only see politics fracture even more, and we will drift away from the EU because some of the EU will welcome it in time.

I think that sums it up pretty well; the differences between leave and remain are irreconcilable, and we'll never understand the reasoning of the other side.

That's fine when flopping left/right in a general election, but concerning when Brexit can have much more drastic impact and the eu won't let up keep joining and leaving every 10 years

Are we abandoning staying because of democracy? Because it seems to me it's more to do with us deciding we're just idiots.
