UK fishermen expecting to have British waters to themselves post-brexit have been advised not to hold their breath.
You don't have any problem with the EU cherry picking then? Funny how you're always first to tell us that the UK can't do the same.0 -

The eu told us that the 4 freedoms are linked. We're asking for only 3, That's cherry picking because we've been told it's all or none.
The eu is negotiating a future relationship by asking for some elements that are discrete. It's not cherry picking.0 -
I dont know how will you?
Easily thanks and the number of Brits who rely on EU roaming is very insignificant.
Its another one of those "end of days" type scenarios. Bit like "Its a disgrace and a catastrophe that the young people in the UK won't have the freedom to study at an EU university " when in reality very few actually do..
Its a perceived major disaster to the twattering classes but life goes on as before for 99.9% of the population. But for that 1 week each year when they holiday in the EU they will either have to pay £5 for an add on to their mobile phone contract or just turn data roaming off............
Ahem.............. and to think this once great nation once ruled 2/3rd's of the earth........0 -
The more I watch the MP's who represent us in our parliament I realise I have nothing in common with that rabble. The ridiculous public school 'banter' and manufactured self righteous braying in PMQ's, the planted questions by canon fodder lackey MP's which offer no enlightenment on any issue. Yep our so called 'parliament' has long gone past its sell by date.
You are presumably one of the voters responsible for choosing these MP's. If you do indeed find the system so abhorrent then instead of bleating about it here what are you actually doing about reforming the system and how?0 -

How can you say that they are asking for an element that is discrete and then say it's not cherry picking? That is simply ridiculous.
The EU is demanding access to our fishing grounds. Last week, they were trying to annex Northern Ireland. Tomorrow it will be something else. The EU are not negotiating anything because they are not in the business of negotiation.
According to the Indy, Tusk is now saying that unless we solve the Ireland issue, there will be no discussion on trade. The idiot cannot see that the two are linked and one cannot be resolved without the other.0 -
Bloomberg sent me this today.
QUOTE
Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel cracked a joke at Britains expense on Wednesday as Tusk presented his negotiating guidelines, and it sums up sentiment on the continent to Britains approach, past and present.
They were in but had a lot of opt-outs. Now they are out and they want a lot of opt-ins.
END QUOTE“Yet again we see EU politicians failing to practice what they preach.
Luxembourg lies right at the heart of the world's biggest protectionist zone, and yet their PM is lecturing the UK on free trade. The PM's comments combine hypocrisy with a lack of any sense of reality."

The EU (that never bully anyone, remember) issue another ultimatum!
"EU freezes Brexit talks until Britain produces Irish border solution"
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-eu-talks-irish-border-tusk-varadkar-northern-ireland-uk-solution-dup-a8246216.html
This response to Irish borders is in the Belfast Telegraph:
"DUP leader hits out at peace threat warnings used as Brexit ‘bargaining chip’ "

Also covered by the FT:
"DUP leader accuses Brussels of ‘act of bad faith’ over Brexit text"

It's obvious that the EU has no real interest in the concerns of its citizens; one look at using them as pawns in the Brexit FOM discussion shows that all to clearly as seen when the government offered to clarify before discussions even began and the EU refused.0 -
Two things.
Firstly I don’t like your assumptive labelling of me as a heterosexual.
Secondly I don’t have neighbours as I live in a big castle. I have staff instead.
In future please refrain from this offensive behaviour or I will report you.
mrginge, my apologies you are quite right my assumptions were politically un correct.
I will NOT assume your staff have zero hours contracts.
Please don’t report me. How will I get to Brexit Heaven if you do that. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
So the following say Brexit will make us poorer:
