Compulsory education yes, but failing.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-33993/Britain-worst-schools-Europe.html
It's not a coincidence that the country with the lowest literacy levels in the EU is the country that voted to leave it.
Did you even read your link, or are you a prime example of the UK’s plummeting English comprehension standards?“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Another shouter, is it contagious? Good manners does not involve shouting. We can all hear without the need to shout.
Thank you. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Turning to today's likely topic due to May's speech on the security issues. Do people think our international security will be enhanced by brexit. Apparently in order for full international co-operation to continue we need to stay under the ECJ or have full alignment with the ECJ re. future law re information sharing etc.

In the interests of impartiality I include the Expresses version of reality as well. Apparently its all the fault of the French this time...not the Germans:-

Do you think he fiddled the figures and that the actual Harvard Kennedy School study shows that most British firms want the UK to leave the customs union? :rotfl:
I've been looking on the HKS website trying to find a link to this research so I an read from primary sources. Does anyone have a link? Their website is hard to navigate.
I can find some info on Brexit from.2017 but not more recent. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most people who left education at 15 with no formal qualifications voted for Brexit. What other definition of little to none would you use compared to the fact that must graduates voted to remain?
I know Brexit is supposed to be some kind of peasants revolution, but maybe you should entertain the notion that your allies are just not well enough informed to have an opinion worth listening to.
Cue another Express article surrounded by links about a cat that weighs 8 stone, UFO sightings, and Kim Kardashian's buttocks...
My allies? I voted remain and would do so again.
Nevertheless, I disagree that people who attended school for the majority of their childhood have little to no education. You can argue by all means that they have fewer qualifications, but suggesting that people have little or no education is incorrect. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Do you recall the reaction from the eu when we threatened to remove security services cooperation? They were horrified, it touched a nerve.
We have the best security services in the world, they need access to it. It is only because the eu are trying to force us to stay in the ecj that they are saying we need to stay under it, they can just as easily say we will not remain in the ecj, what are you going to do about it.
Personally I think we should use everything we can to put them in their place, if this means using the security services button again then we should, we are the ones that rule the roost in that area.
And I know people like Arklight and the such will come along and say our security services are useless and we desperately need the eu to hold our hand, but we do not. I believe in the UK, it is getting quite obvious that remoaners do not.
And I say again, I voted to remain, but have since changed my mind. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Thanks. That's a really good, thorough paper. I wonder why it took so long for the papers to pick up on it.
Will have a full read later when I'm home from work and not on a tiny tablet, but did have a quick scan through at the charts and tables.
Table 1 in particular is good as it shows all if the different options and the level of trade access that they give. There's also a good chart showing exports by the type of markets accessed.

I agree that we have excellent security services but they depend on easy information sharing and co-operation between states. Is brexit going to make that more difficult? The USA is used as an example of how it can go for us in future but apparently its not easy with the USA either because the course of future law has an impact and leaving the ECJ will mean we won't have future alignment with the other states anymore?0
