Brexit, the economy and house prices part 5

I suspect that the EU will get what it deserves rather than what it wants.
Nah. The EU will get what it wants, the UK will get what it deserves (and asked for). At the end of the day, the EU will move on and deal with it's other problems, but the UK will moan about getting shafted by the EU for decades.0 -
Ye gods!
"Neoliberal clown"; "odious tory press"; "true enemies of the people"!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Thinking like that was outdated even by the late 70's as with Citizen Smith.
But Brexiters are the supposedly the ones stuck in the past?

What "deal" would that be then?
Where has this "deal" been signed?

Nothing has been signed. (Read correctly what it said.)
Then you'll like this too.BREXITEER Crispin Blunt said the 27 EU member states all see Britain as having left the European Union despite calls from Remainers to try to have another Brexit vote.
And this.A CONSERVATIVE MP has suggested the European Union is to blame for slow progress in Brexit negotiations as the bloc has been unwilling to discuss Britain's future long-term relationship with them.
And this.Brexiteer John Redwood DESTROYS Barnier's Irish border warnings with THIS simple plan

There have been so many posts in this thread today I thought it might be good to have a summary.
* Michel Barnier has been forced by the EU27 to remove the "punishment clause". Of course, the EU do still want the UK to stick to existing EU rules & regulations.
* "I've had enough of being a remoaner" is the response to Boris's Brexit speech.
* One of Italy's parties that is likely to be in their election's winning coalition promises an EU referendum if the EU don't agree to reduce Italy's budget, give Italian laws precedence over the EU's and review European treaties.
* Boris Johnson's Brexit speech prompts this: "I've had enough of being a remoaner!"
* UK manufacturers are confident in the future despite Brexit.
Plus naturally lots of remoaners are still moaning but without actually saying anything of note.0 -
An outcry by a minority. So who cares really?
They can always organise a 100,000 man march on Westminster.
Like Farage's march on the Supreme Court which was attended by 2 OAP's. :rotfl:
You might not care but there will be plenty of people and politicians who do. If you really think that ignoring the result of referendum and leaving in name only will not damage the trust in politicians and cause a big backlash you must be really blinkered.
If you are not happy with the result you will have to campaign for another referendum and fight that not try to ignore the result of the one we have just had.0
