Really? What has May done to support your theory? And no, I'm not interested in rumours spread by Remoaners in order to undermine Davis's position.0 -

He'll rather conveniently not stand for a second term, and leave someone else to deal with the aftermath. He said as much earlier this year.

Well she poached Oliver Robbins from Dexeu and has become more personally involved in the negotiations. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Brexit will be the final 'big' job for a few politicians. Juncker, Barnier (?) & Davis will be retiring. We'll likely have a new Tory leader at the next election and, although he says otherwise, it's difficult to see Corbyn taking labour into another general election. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Quite - she couldn't because rather than being able to pick people purely based on their skill sets she has to keep one eye on how they voted in the referendum.
She's a bit of a lame duck and a hostage to conservative party politics. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

She always has been personally involved. As the PM Mrs May meets the other heads of state on a frequent basis.

I've just come across this, reported from gfplux's country of residence.
If true (and I have no reason to doubt it is) it would appear that one EU bank at least is ignoring threats from the pro-EU contingent about UK financial job losses to the EU.Spain's Alantra Partners is considering moving its headquarters from Madrid to London in a bet the UK capital will remain the centre of European business and finance even after Brexit, according to two people with knowledge of the matter. The investment bank and money manager, which oversees €3.7 billion of assets and employs about 350 staff in 21 countries, is weighing how many workers it might deploy in London if it completes the move, the people said, asking not to be identified because the plan is private.

This follows on from this story last summer:
