Brexit, the economy and house prices part 5

Why worry about this now? I suggest it is faux concern at best.
..........So don't give me all this flake interest in R&D now. My Chinese professor mate is confident that they will continue to invest more than either UK or EU will do over the coming decades.
.............
I was simply responding to a post with a link that claimed the UK was investing more heavily in AI and finware than lots of others.
But it is relevant to Brexit and the concerns over our poor productivity.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

My GP does this already. All calls for appointments are triaged by a nurse before allocating an appointment. It seems to work OK but makes getting an appointment a longer process as the nurse calls patients back. It also destroys the relationship between the a GP and the patient as the allocation is based on the availability of a team of GPs.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Countless posts in this thread alone contain little more than attempts at decrying "the messenger" and are obviously from "people incapable of considering the issue", yet you have not equally berated them for such behaviour.
Would you like to try and explain why that is?
Blur's hands are dripping in blood and we are supposed to ignore this and focus on Brexit?

Right.
No but it would be courteous to start your own Blair bashing thread since this thread is about Brexit.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Whilst I agree that this is a Brexit thread, to my mind a lot of Brexit is about Blair and his attitude towards the people. He opened the floodgates to Eastern Europeans when he did not have to, he famously wanted to "rub the middle classes nose in it", and I am pretty sure they were convinced all those immigrants would vote labour and keep them in forever.
Doesn't feel quite so good now does it Blair? Apart from anything else, you have now lost your chance to be eu president.vivatifosi wrote: »More Brexit stories:

Verhofstadt is almost being more childish than Trump in this. They WANT us to fail and will do everything they can to ensure that happens. The thing is, once we are truly out, our destiny is up to us. If they try to ban countries from trading with us it will be the WTO that shoots them down, and so on.
I voted to remain. With their reactions, both just after the vote and throughout the "negotiations" (more like the eu stamping their feet like a toddler and saying we will destroy you for this) I would now vote to leave. I have had someone try to destroy me in RL, it did not work, and the bully died, partly from the severe stress they put themselves under. Bullies normally lose in the end, they are outed and everyone turns against them. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I'm starting to wonder what Farage is for. I reckon he's skint and trying to make money from being a celebrity brexiteer.
Why on Earth Barnier feels the need I don't know. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
