I asked what happens if they vote against deal at a very late stage. We are committed to leaving and if its to late to get a new deal so what happens.
Then at that late stage the government have to try and get a better deal. Do you want me to tell you it'll be easy? It won't be.
We could always leave in April 2019 - the world would continue to rotate around the sun. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

The bottom line is that the UK is leaving the EU. MP's can decide if the agreed terms are acceptable or not. There's no second bite of the cherry. In any event 30 odd other Parliaments all have to rubber stamp on the other side. There's no guarantee that the deal will be passed.0 -
Brexitinkles are stewing in their own juices tonight.

No, because not only are you a bit late with that but also you seem to be hoping that some hiccough will happen.

So do you really think it likely that these "EU national leaders" will go against the expressed wishes of the European Parliament?
As I said an interesting few days. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

Germany has no government- if they're lucky they might have one by February.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -
Half the papers don't have this vote on their front page tomorrow, shows how important this is and also how bored everyone is of Brexit and remoaners.
The Tories are in the lead in the latest YouGov poll. I can only see this getting wider.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -

Translated to....... I didnt like what happened in that vote so I'll pretend it didn't happen and annoy those who disagree with me at the same time.:rotfl:
You Brexiteers should be happy in any event.....You saw parliament exerting some control against an overbearing executive. We are constantly being served up a load of 8u11sh1t on here about it all being about ‘taking back control from the hands of unelected officials’
Clearly it’s not about that at all, opposition to tonight’s victory for Parliamentary sovereignty proves it. Or is that that power in the hands of the few is fine when that few serves your own agenda – whatever that might be!
If it’s not really about making decisions democratic, then what is your support for Brexit founded on. It can’t be about economics, because every model going suggests Brexit will harm the economy.
So, it’s not about democracy and it’s not about making us richer. So what does that leave….. a typically British dislike of all things foreign ? Oh please….!0
