It changes nothing. It's still a choice between the deal and no deal.

  • Just dropping by to leave this, OK it is in the Express so I will be lampooned by many on here, but it is something I have read about previously on other websites.

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/470967/The-EU-was-HITLER-S-idea-and-it-proves-Germany-WON-the-Second-World-War-claims-new-book

This is interesting considering the date, and things that were denied before the referendum

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/10041817/Federal-Europe-will-be-a-reality-in-a-few-years-says-Jose-Manuel-Barroso.html

Here Merkel proves the Eu is primarily to benefit Germany

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/the-merkel-plan-ill-save-the-euro-with-a-federal-europe-6271544.html

It has always been about Germany and their desire to conquer the world, they can't do it by waging war so they are trying to enter through the back door.

Presumably parliament will have to vote on any deals that are eventually agreed with the EU. Soverenty of Parliament is restored and everyone is happy.
But what happens if at a very late stage Parliament votes not to accept deal.

    Then it's WTO.

This is a minor setback. They will accept the deal.

Then we're out with no deal and revert to WTO terms for trade.
We do not pay however many billions to the EU and we presumably put that money towards offsetting whatever difficulties a no-deal exit might cause.
It will not cause the end of the world and, though this might surprise you, the probability is that not very much will change in any dramatic way.

Germany has a strategic national interest like any other country, it’s geography and history probably means that it sees that its national interest and security is best served as a major player in a supranational entity like the EU. If they can pull it off and as long as it doesn’t unduly effect my country and our European neighbours, then good luck to them.
The potential loss of the UK from the EU was a major geopolitical faux pas by Merkel and makes the possibility of a Federal EU that bit more problematic.

Very little, even Dominic Grieve who is responsible for this amendment admitted it won't spot us leaving even if the final deal was voted against...

The UK was the obstacle to the progress of a Federal European State. Merkels's weakened political position is now the biggest issue. Undermining Macron's grand plans.

Listening to the brexiters on the Farage show on LBC would suggest that Democracy is back out of favour.

    Tough lot to please.

The government will have to try and change the deal to one that parliament will vote for. In reality it means they'll be trying to get a deal that parliament will vote for from the start of trade negotiations.
