There isn't one although both sides could request the ICJ to adjudicate.0 -
Obviously only one poll but if opposition to a second referendum is softening Corbyn may be feeling pressure from certain parts of the Labour party not to rule one out.
The problem with that second referendum question is that it picks up two distinct groups.
Those who want one because they think it will keeps us in the EU.
Those that want one because they think no deal will be better than the proposed deal.
There’s no point in anyone from either viewpoint trying to extract value from that particular question and result.0 -

I actually fully agree that there will very much be 2 distinct groups who are unhappy with how the negotiations are going, the question on the economy is probably more revealing in terms of the pessimism that has been growing for a while around Brexit.
Its still not a big enough swing in public opinion to force any changes on the government, but if opinion keeps shifting that may change over time, it would always have been difficult to deliver on the kind of claims which were made during the Brexit campaign but the government has done a pretty appalling job of managing expectations.
For the record I still think it is unlikely that there will be a second referendum, but I don't think it is impossible, some politicians can be pretty fickle in the face of changing public opinion.0 -

My thinking as well.0 -
So lets get this right.... we fall out of the EU without a deal...which is bad enough of course .....but on top we are claiming no Court will have jurisdiction to make us pay our 'club debt'. Making ourselves really popular aren't we....just the start we need as we strike out into the big wide world on our own.0

Well that's good news. Sky reporting breaking news that Ireland is saying we are close to a deal that will allow us to move to phase 2.
Hopefully this will also mean that gfplux will also get the long awaited answer to his question on citizen's rights. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Amazing numbers quoted in the Irish time.
----
"The Republic’s economy is four times larger, generated by a work force that is only two and a half times bigger. The Republic’s industrial output is today 10 times that of the North. Exports from the Republic are 17 times greater than those from Northern Ireland, and average income per head in the Republic, at €39,873, dwarfs the €23,700 across the Border.
----
Are those numbers correct, if so WOW!
