Brexit, the economy and house prices part 5

1. What exactly do you mean by leave?
2. How do we do that?
How do we do that? Many of us are asking how successive government have ensnared us so securely to the EU that it's become almost impossible to escape. The only answer can be to take the pain of WTO (if there is any) as that must be better than being chained to the EU for eternity or until such time as it collapses under the weight of its contradictions.0 -

It couldn't be easier to leave the EU. If we want to go WTO, at least.
Why haven't we done that? Because it'd be politically and economically destructive. That's not suddenly going to change.0 -
I never did, but thought that a Brexit with FoM radically altered is mainly what the referendum result was about.
That's the crux of the matter in one regard. FOM being extremely important to the poorer eastern and southern members. Remittances and capital being transferred home becoming significant. They have no concerns for the impact on the ordinary citizens of the UK.0 -

More-so for the EU I would have thought. After all, it wouldn't exactly be a great advert for the EU, "Come join the EU - just remember we never let you to leave unless you pay to do that too".
You mean "Come join the EU - just remember you can't leave without paying your commitments", surely?0 -

What are they? Do we have figures and agreements covering them?
As I recall, we get our share of the EIB back, as the money comes back In, but have no claim to anything else.0 -
The Japan trade deal seems to be largely concluded:

And likely to be ratified before we've left, providing a huge boost to EU dairy farmers, like we used to be.0 -
