    What do you think?

I think he made a mistake first time round with the Scottish indy ref. Maybe he wanted a clear majority vote, but was worried Nicola's gang might stoke it up in some way.

Regardless of the voting majority, he asked the wrong question and he knows it.

    Heh heh....

    Brexit plan is now to...

    1) Maintain full EU single market alignment on goods and agricultural products

    2) Adopt all future EU regulations on goods and agricultural products

    3) New customs arrangement to phase in with goal of "combined customs area"

    4) Free movement to be renamed as 'facilitated movement' allowing all UK and EU citizens to study and work reciprocally in the UK and EU with minimum paperwork.

No doubt the Brextremists will complain this is BRINO - the majority will see it as a reasonable starting point for negotiations - albeit to many pro-Europeans this is still unrealistic and too far skewed in favour of the UK...

We're not there yet - and the plan is still not good enough to pacify business concerns - but it's looking a lot more positive than it was 18 months ago.

Don't get too excited. It's just another suggestion that the cretins in Brussels will reject as magical thinking. No deal has just come another step closer.

Not often I quote from the Daily Telegraph but today's headline reads:-

Cabinet signs up to Mays Brexit deal and they report:......... Theresa May won her battle with Eurosceptic ministers on Friday night as she announced the cabinet has signed up to a Brexit deal that keeps Britain tied to EU rules and regulations indefinitely.

I think May has come up with a brilliant plan. Two years down the line, and the Government has just agreed within Cabinet something a hairs breadth away from our current set up. A CU in all but name and a SM in goods and agriculture. Most of the positions are just tweaks. BINO here we come. From this we can see the whole project should have been strangled at birth and what' more we are going to pay 39 billion for the privilege while having given away our power on making decisions. Now we'll see if the Mogg lion will roar or will he just turn out to be a !!!!! cat.

Also something in there saying we will be able to broker our own trade agreements so there is no way the eu will agree to it. No deal here we come.

So May has finally unveiled her latest species of pushmepullyou for Barnier & co to have a laugh at. Let’s set our stopwatches to see how long before rejection.

Of course they won't. Because we've still got the 3 options they gave us 2 years ago

So let's see if the EU accepts it.

When they don't, will you just even partially agree with some of us that a hard brexit won't have been something created by the "brexiters"?

Three times? Are you actually referring to the GLOBAL financial crisis?

They keep telling us there's no a la carte option. We've barely got time to negotiate a copied arrangement.

We need to pick one of the off the shelf options and try to arrange something bespoke from there.

I'm coming round towards WTO - I'll make a small fortune and then we'll rejoin pretty quickly where I can spend it :)
