Brexit is the biggest load of crap that's ever happened to this country! Not even Brexit itself just the whole hoorah around it. We had anti-EU Corbyn campaigning to remain and pro-remain May now leading the leaving. Absolute tosh. Honestly, I think it won't happen and if it does it will be merely a new gleam on the same system, same single market, free movement etc. Bloody big waste of time!

I just wish David Cameron had let it happen to him and not gamble on the referendum. The gamon is now foaming at the mouth because they can feel having the country in their grip without the protection of the ECJ.

It's got to be clear to everyone by now https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/jul/06/government-has-no-clue-how-to-execute-brexit-without-harm-airbus-chief

Interesting that we accepted a simple majority for initiation of such long term damage to the economy. I am pretty sure the norm for something as seismic as this would be a requirement of at least a vote of 60% to leave. The only possible reasons I can envisage are : The person who made the decision was a secret Brexiteer (probably not) or the referendum result was 'ADVISORY' only and something that our 'SOVEREIGN' parliament would 'take into account' when deciding if we stay in or leave the EU, and if we leave what form it would take.
Ironic now that the people who are fighting 'tooth and nail' against the prospect of a 2nd referendum, also consider themselves the arbiters of what is the 'will of the people'

    i dont think so

Brexit is worse than the world wars? dont be ridiculous

You're also assume it will result in a negative consequence based on speculation, things that WILL happen, not HAVE

the biggest problem with Brexit is the hype and hysteria

Brexit is the biggest load of self inflicted crap that's ever happened to this country. As Carl noticed, there have been wars, the plague, etc...
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Being Anti-EU doesn't mean you would automatically vote leave, that is for quitters. Corbyn likes the idea of the EU, just not every thing it does. Every relationship involves compromises, unless you're a sociopath.

U-Turn May just doesn't know her own mind.

I wish I had your optimism, I think Reese Mogg is likely to have a thing to say about that. He's not going to be happy until the country is blasted back into the past with a ruling elite and tenants working the land.

You said you were self centred.

As are you. You can hear it in your language. Nobody campaigned on a 'sabotage' platform.

I don't mind that you are. Ultimately you vote for what is right for you, not trying to second guess others.

We also had to assume that the politicians could deliver either of the 2 options they presented to us. Maybe they just aren't that bright.

The Scottish referendum required a simple majority too.

I don't recall too many complaints at the time.

Are you suggesting that Cameron was reckless twice?

Fewer people voted in Brown (and Blair), look at the havoc they reeked on the economy and the financial cost. Which is still being addressed today.
