Great news then, investment is flourishing and growth is experiencing a Brexit boost. Have I got that right Lorna?

Thanks. It's a valid point though; I've seen lots of references to Brexit for job losses but do far no attributed job gains due to Brexit.

Except all the additional staff at Rotterdam, and the DxEU staff that aren't seconded from elsewhere. 100ish new UK customs staff?

Nobody will give a toss what any company’s reasons for job gains or losses are.
Any company that wants to lay people off can blame it on brexit instead of them being crap at running a business and any company that wants to employ new people will claim its all down to their magnificent business strategy.

All the electorate care about is can I pay the mortage, buy a car and naff off on holiday. Same as they always have.

Well it is indeed strange how all the slow drip feeding of negative outlook and possible job loses are coming from large well established businesses. Yeah, it is just down to them being crap at running business.

Those who lobby the government you mean?

Like Airbus? Who two days before making their statement int he paper were lobbying government for subsidies to expand their Filton plant in Bristol?

Why would they want to expand, if they are threatening to leave?

Most of us can put 2&2 together here....whatever side we are on.

Well it is not going to be Joe Gammons Corner Shoppe putting out profit warnings, now is it?
