No I didn't tune into his show. :)

You're missing the root cause on trade. Increasingly growth is coming from other parts of the world and as most trade takes place between geographic near neighbours under RTAs it shouldn't be a surprise that Europe's share falls.
    ...

Yeah, that's why the USA is running a $370 billion a year trade deficit with China....coz they is neighbours ;)

It's really about ambition isn't it. You either believe in the global village or you don't.

I know what went wrong in the pre-Brexit run up. We sent Cameron on his EU concessions roadshow, when we actually should have sent Trump as a paid deal maker.

It can't be proven that it was hate which drove the mass majority of leavers.

If you have lost your job to some local Poles or French or Dutch, you're probably more peeved about losing your job than against any particular nationality.

In history, it has actually been shown that outsiders are generally blamed when wages drop or people lose their jobs. The Jews arrived from Tsarist Russia mostly in the late 19th century, and I believe it was in the early 20th century that restrictions were placed on immigration from abroad precisely because politicians of the time feared the reaction of people in the UK (many of whom were desperately poor) to the huge influx. And that was with a group of people who made a special effort to integrate, via Rothschild's schemes (which I won't go into because that is such a complex story).

I don’t know quite how you’ve arrived at any of this nonsense. It’s generally better not to drift into childish hyperbole if you want to make a valid point and be taken seriously but it is your choice, of course.

Much like Soviet apparatchiks, Remainers really don't like being made fun of. It betrays their fundamental insecurity. They can't laugh it off, secure in the knowledge that they're not actually like their parody, because they are.

The thing is that they could guage how the markets would react to a remain vote knowing that it’d be turned on its head when the actual result was known a few hours later.

Nobody knew the actual result until around 3am when it became mathematically certain.

This is the fundamental truth which you are failing to grasp, as it is a matter of mathematical reality rather than tribal wibble.

It’s true that the result wasn’t known but they were playing with a marked deck. A gamble very well worth taking, as was proved.

It's not our job to come up with a solution for Africa!

It's not Nigeria's job to come up with a solution for the refugees in Germany.

It's not Japan's job to worry about Mexicans illegally entering USA.

When did this liberal claptrap become popular, that we had to solve the world's ills?

Africa has to fix Africa's problems. The EU / UK can't find jobs for an extra 1 billion Africans in the next 30 years. It's fantasy.
That attitude is a return to the dark ages. It's not our job, or not in my backyard....sounds so trite and easy......... turning your back on the world doesn't work though....that's why the EU was important. Africans are coming to Europe anyway. We can't just turn our back on Italy, we have international responsibilities. Eastern Europe is less of a problem than it would have been without the EU. Putin wants brexit because it weakens us!

This attitude is so out of date. Your 'solution' means the decimation of already struggling African nations that need their citizens if they are to have a hope in developing.

Those without compassion applaud encouraging Africa's nurse and Doctors to come to over-entitled Britain leaving the poorest children on the planet with even lessor medical access.

Encouraging and cheerleading mass immigration is a tired clapped-out narrative from yesteryear, it harms Africa and European citizens have had enough.

Liberal / Centrist sneery, morally indignant tonality is precisely why populist tsunamis are occurring across Europe, people are sick to the back teeth of the arrogance and naivety of the that class.

Oh, and FYI a red wave is now occurring in Saintly Canada, people are awakening, everywhere.

    QUOTE]

^From the play book of the left and 'educators' over the last 5 decades.
There was no pan-European uprising against immigration over the last few decades. In Britain we largely all got used 30,000 net annual immigration.

Today's issues are bound up with authoritarian centrists inflicting mass immigration without consent, and then seeking to silence concern by playing the race and ignorance cards.

It's a numbers issue regardless of whether immigrants hail from Poland or Peru. Road congestion is real. Housing shortage wont be 'solved' simply by building - more people will simply keep coming, nothing will be solved.

Lefties say 'but if we enforce MW rules, workers will be cool', no they ruddy well wont, they want wages to RISE, they don't want the MW being the norm thanks to mass immigration.

Lorna; all those increases are good news. Are any caused by or related to Brexit?

I'm not sure anyone's keeping a tally of gains/losses which is a shame.

You do realise that no one is claiming there won't be new jobs post brexit; just less than there would otherwise be?
