    Hi.

Have just applied on line for the rail card - all done and dusted in under two minutes! How easy.

    Great Tip.

Thanks so much. Wish I'd known 2 weeks ago when I had to buy one for my husband to return from Hull. I've got one too now! thanks again.
  • I've had a quick look at the website, but I'm still not sure whether this covers journeys in Scotland too. Everything just seems geared up to England - does anyone know whether you can use the same card north of the border?

    Kind regards

    AX
  • Sorry if this sounds daft :o .... can I still use the code, print the form off and take it in person to my station to get the discount?

To save a phone call or wasted journey to the station ..... can I apply for other people (in my case family members) - Just wondered if anyone has already done this .... was thinking of early Christmas presents.

Just downloaded the application form and at the bottom it says ....

Terms and Conditions are valid up to and including 08 September 2007 !!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure it covers the whole of Great Britain - hope I'm right as I've just bought one!

Like others I'd been thinking about buying one & this deal is just too good to miss!

Thanks for this thread. However, I did not open the email this week and went and paid £20 on Sat for my card. Grrrrrrrrrr!
  • This is only London and London south.

It is available for journeys across the Country, however journeys wholly within London and the SE, are not discounted during morning peak times, from the FAQs...

The Railcard discount isn't available on tickets when journeys are made wholly within the London and South East area (including all South West Trains services to and from London Waterloo) on morning peak period services Monday to Friday (not including Public Holidays).
