thanks so much for this - not only has it saved me a tenner - but it also reminded me that I needed to renew my card as it expires on friday. Keeping fingers crossed it arrives no later than monday morning - 'cos going on holiday and need it.

DOn't forget there is a loophole with family railcards.

I am sure we have all had kids who are 'younger on buses' I know my DD used to say when people asked her age 'I am 4 on the bus' :rotfl:

But it works the other way round on the train...

...if you have an under 5 do not despair. Get a family railcard and pay for a ticket for them, it is still cheaper to travel than going without the railcard. Make sure your under five could pass for a 5 year old LOL;)

    I have done reading too!

  • I know this might be a stupid question, but how long does a family railcard last for?? And also how long is it valid for?? Thanks:confused:
