Transfer mobile phone account

My partner took out a 2 year mobile phone contract for me in her name in November 2015 with EE, as I was refused a contract due to a bankruptcy in 2013 on my credit file.

This contract is due to end very soon, and I have been led to believe that mobile contracts/accounts can be transferred to another person. If this is true, and they agreed to do it, could this create a financial association on our credit files?

Many Thanks,

Jamie.

There were other coptions available but anyway I dont see why it would create an association if all your doing is transfering ownership of the account.

When I did this a few years ago for my children, it didn't create a financial link.

If in doubt ask them or check out their T&Cs. ;)

I took on my partner's EE phone, it didn't create a new link, but they did do a credit search on me, and it's showing as a credit agreement on my credit files.

Which would be correct as you're now responsible for the agreement.

It shouldn't create any associations, and should close any accounts on the persons credit file whose account is being transferred from.
