Update on my switch:
Switch was completed on the 7th. All direct debits from Tesco transferred across OK.
Direct Debit due on the 8th. Checked today and rejected by Tesco as no payment instruction.
I have cancelled all the Tesco DD's and have set them up on Tesco side again using the sort code and account number of Yorkshire Bank.
I am on day 2 of the process, switch date 14th, tesco DD showing up in my new B account but they are no longer there on my tesco accounts.
So i will have to set them up again with the new B account sort code / acc number. Its not been a very straightforward application/switch so far.:T0 -

I still haven't heard either. First message said they needed to check a few things and they would let me know within 2 working days. A week later I got a text saying they were busy and would let me know within 5 working days, that was today and still no word 😕 Oh well, I'm not going to phone them because I'm not that bothered about it, I'll just wait and see.

I've moved my first £1000 and will wait a few days before I move it back.

My switch went through on 3/11 and 2 DDs feeding my Tesco Bank savings accounts were switched over. The DDs were due to pay out on the 5th so I checked my accounts today.
When I logged into Tesco Bank it showed that the DDs were credited to my accounts today. The old bank account details were still showing in the linked accounts section.
However when I logged in to Yorkshire Bank the DDs were not showing as having been paid, and my balance hasn't reduced.
I phoned the switching team but they were vague as to why they weren't showing as having been paid. They said they could possibly appear in a day or too, and to keep checking as there could be a delay in updating the systems. I'm still not sure which account the DDs have been pulled from! My old account was closed on Friday when the switch happened.
To be on the safe side for the switching bonus I have set up 2 new Tesco Bank DDs on the YB account.
Update on my switch: the 2xTesco DDs I thought had gone through were returned (rejected) on Tuesday with the reason "no instruction". The same day I received a letter from YB stating my switch had begun, even though my switch date was last Friday!
Today I received another letter stating my switch has completed and any DD providers have been notified of the new account details.
I checked Tesco Bank and my old DD payment details have now been updated to show the new YB account details :j0 -
I have moved 2 lots of £1000 so far on my B account via the app back to Santander and had no problem, there was no mention of a token when I signed up.My original Tesco DD's are not due out until the 16th of this month but the 2 new ones I created after the switch went out on the right day. Will wait and see what happens on the 16th.mortgage free 3/10/12:)0

Can the £1000 be paid into the account from any other account ie not in your name?
I'm short on cash this month so I have asked my parents to lend me £1000 cash which they have paid directly into my account.
I intend they will do the same for the 2nd £1000 next month and then once this qualifies and they pay up the £250 I'll return the overall £2000 to my parents...0 -

Yes, the £1000 can come from anywhere as long as it's from a non Yorkshire/Clydesdale account, so that should work fine for you.
Remember that the £1000 each month doesn't necessarily need to stay there in your Yorkshire/Clydesdale account. Your parents could transfer the £1000 into the account, then you could transfer it back straight away. Though to be safe I'd suggest leaving the money there at least overnight just to be sure it registers as a deposit.0 -

I received a letter with all the details of my switch including 2 x Tesco DD's. I've logged into my B account and they are not there. Are they likely to appear after my switch next week or will I have to set them up again?0 -
I'm on the final day, of my switch. Donor account still shows the 2 DDs and balance. B account has nothing yet.
I would expect later today, for those to cross over and the donor account closed.0
