If that is the amount transferred between banks as your balance within the switch itself, then NO it doesn't count. You will need to make a further £1000 payment into the new account.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. I'm on 8-digit customer number and 5-digit customer PIN on the following page.
Very fast log in, but maybe not secure enough some would say?0 -

This is my plan anyway. Once the switch is fully completed and done. I’ll transfer £1k over. Leave it a couple of days then transfer the another £1k over.0 -
I didn't have an A&L account, so it isn't that.
The 16 digit Personal/customer ID is from a Santander cash card, which is probably a relic from a long since defunct Abbey National/Abbey account:cool:

Hi,
Can anyone help.
I thought my switch date was on 6th but just realised for some reason I had set it for the 8th. I had set a direct debit up over the weekend and it showed up on my account on 7th. Do you think this will count towards 1 of the DD's or shall I set another one up?
Thanks in advance for your replies.0 -

Well you need 2 x DDs and they can be transferred with the switch or be new ones- as long as you have 2. At least that is my understanding and then they have to pay out :
quote from the welcome e-mail:
"Ensure you have set up two Direct Debits from your new account within 62 days of completing your switch. These can be transferred from your old account or created, but payments must be made from them within those 62 days and they can’t be cancelled before your £250 is paid"Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
