Just checked my account and was supposed to have 3 DD paid out to Tesco for £1 on 4th jan, £3 on 6th Jan, £4 on 8th jan none have been paid at all this month when they paid fine last month from the B account.
What could have gone wrong will they have cancelled them? And most importantly will I still get the £250

Woohoo just received the £250 today my switch date was the 13th Nov I think. transferred money out and done the switch to NatWest for hopefully another £125.
Also logged an official complaint with Tesco's for not collecting the DD the second month.

I'm so glad to be leaving the stupidly named B account (why not just call it a Yorkshire bank current account?) as their app is so s*** and so basic not much u can do on there similar to the co-op bank app.
  • I switched on 13th November and got my £250 today. Woo! Free money! Especially as the account I used for switching was a long dormant Halifax account that they'd stopped even sending me debit cards for

So both £250s received, now just one switch into Natwest for the £125 and the other into Nationwide for a split £200 recommend a friend with the OH, then it's bye bye YB on 16th Feb.
  • Completed switch on the 15th November so hopefully see the bonus land in 10 days time.
  • Husband had an e-mail last night confirming his bonus for his switch which completed on 13 November. Haven't heard from him yet if the cash has turned up.

So I think we will now just switch to Natwest.....even though we have just bobbed in for the bonus the thinking seems to be that Natwest will allow the switch.....happy days!

    Switched on Nov 14th
Thankfully spotted the missing DD from Tesco (after 1st payment taken) so managed to set up another Tesco DD which paid out a couple of days ago.

Nice little e-mail arrived today- my welcome £250 will be arriving in the next 7 days.
and yes, as a few others, this account is moving on to NatWest in early February hopefully to receive a further £125.
I haven't calculated just how long it would take to earn that amount @ £3 pm from Halifax but I think it was a good sacrifice

Got my £250 email today... I will switch to M&S next to get the regular saver... I need to figure out how to get more DDs after the Tesco closure... Won't be able to store money in BOS accounts otherwise...

There are suggestions on a couple of threads - one is certainly on the savings board. Be prepared to trawl through many pages!!
Once the bonus is paid I can transfer one DD to BOS and the other is a Mr T one, so will be cancelled.
Do you pay all your household bills by DD? Water , council tax , power & telephony services can all be paid in 12 installments. There are a few savings a/cs that use the DD system (assuming they are all still available)... Sorry , I digress, this is the Yorks bank thread!

As we don't touch the money and aren't likely to in the near future, one of our 3 BOS Vantage accounts has been stripped and the proceeds put in a Paragon 2yr fix savings account which pays fractionally more than BOS. So two less DDs to have to find.
