Heading back over here as I've just exchanged on my new-to-me house, and will be completing on the 20th. So after three mortgage-free months, I've ported my old mortgage over to the new house.
I'll be starting out with just over a year on my old rate, fixed 5 years ago, which runs to September 2024.
Once I'm in, I'll be in a better position to decide how much needs spending on the house in the first year, and how much I can OP the mortgage. For now I need to get contents insurance quotes and start planning a gradual move.9 -
