And Ernie has generously contributed £25 again this month.
I really MUST chase the carpenter/landscapers. Work has been hard this week, and selling up and downsizing would mean I would have options. Like the ability to flounce out when it all gets a bit much...11 -

I've had a vaguely productive weekend - robots have cleaned floors (and I've steam cleaned the ensuite and kitchen floors). I've done some laundry (but not the ironing - I now have 2 weeks of it sitting looking accusingly at me on the kitchen table), and I've moved and divided masses of primroses to underneath the new hedge. I've also cleared almost all the dead reeds from the north bank, moved some flags in the stream which hopefully will take root where I've put them and broken up almost all the bits of fence panel salvaged from my neighbours into the previously empty kindling bin.
I could do with the day off @Alchemilla but I have deadlines looming - including the need to write my new job description as my job title won't change until it's done. And more importantly, HR can't process the pay rise and promotion without it. Given the way cost of living is going up, it would be good to get those sorted out soon.
I've also been sent details by a friend of a house that's a possibility. Or would be if the landscaper, gate man and carpenter had got round to getting the work done. I need to put some pressure on this week.9 -
I love the idea of writing one's own job description!4

I don't. It's boring. But it needs doing if I want the HR piece sorted out.
And I have to sign off on a couple of others first.5 -
Have any of the tradespeople got back to you?3
