I like north shropshire too @Fortune_Smiles, my parents moved that way after I left home6 -
Have been paid. Money shifted to savings and mortgage - less than I'd like, but I have a system which involves everything left over at the end of the month plus reducing the incoming amount to a previous income level, so it made a decent amount to split.
Very, very busy day (accidentally looked at work phone at 7am and had to get up and do stuff). However, healthy eating going OK (apart from eating an hour later than planned due to spotting issues just as I was about to pack up), I've done 10 minutes of pilates and a walk round the block. Just need to do 10 minutes of something yoga-like and then try to find the energy to fill the DW with the fishy stuff from supper and make HWBs.
Sore throat, and am losing my voice - think it's stress/tension rather than anything else as I also have neck ache (too many 12-15 hour days) and an incipient headache. I'm exhausted, so hopefully the throat won't stop me sleeping...8 -

I’m fine now thanks. As I never meet germs, it’s all just my brain…
Work forgot to pay our pay rises this month, so they should be turning up soon. At least this way I’ll know the monthly additional amount (probably about £2.50 after pension/NI/tax) which I’ll add to the post-payday shift to savings and mortgage OPs.Today and tomorrow I’m on leave (well, apart from needing to get on the phone to a graphic designer at some point to sort out slides for Monday), so once my mum has recovered from her journey down here I hope we’ll get through quite a bit of stuff that needs doing in the house and garden.
My brother’s family arrive tomorrow evening for the weekend, and we’ll just about all squeeze in! Then next week I have another day and a half off midweek to try to get more done ready to get agents back - I need to get the existing one back, and get a new one in too, just to make sure I have a comparison.I’ve drunk my coffee, and delivered some to my mum, so I guess I should think about getting dressed…6 -
Sounds like a much needed couple of days off there then! And of course the problem with not meeting germs in normal everyday life is how much more they clobber you when you DO meet them!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

@EssexHebridean - I'm fully expecting to pick up all sorts of bugs on my US work trip. I must order more zinc...
Lots of tidying done, all the food sorted (veg washed etc) and in the fridges. Garage fridge has been turned on and wiped out so all the meat can go in it. Coal scuttle has been refilled (hod kept in the garage now needs refilling), log baskets topped up inside and refilled in the garage. Pilates done, walk done. Garden waste bin filled to the brim and bins put out. Next job will probably be filling and painting where the old bolt was on the front door ready to put the new one on.
My mum has unpacked and tidied, and can keep all the stuff she normally leaves in the bathroom in her bedroom while everyone is here. I've dug out old laundry bags so we can keep dirty laundry in our own rooms rather than putting it in the laundry bin on the landing. A bit more pottering and we should be ready for the onslaught. I need to go to the dry cleaner tomorrow to drop some stuff off, so we may also do a bit of actual real life shopping.
Oh yes, and fished a dead rat out of the stream right at the top by my neighbour's bridge. At least it has definitely floated down from elsewhere...6 -
