Thanks Julie! I hope all's well with you
Annual interest on savings accounts appeared yesterday - 3 of which were empty and need closing (I need to transfer some money into two of them, as the 3p interest can't be taken out on it's own!). Most went into savings, and 25p to the mortgage, so that the main savings account still has a nice round number in it!
Other than that, tidying, cooking, gardening...12 -
Checked my mortgage statement today, and the term has reduced by another month, which is positive.8

Yep… and as I’ve got £25 coming in from PBs at some point, that will go in this month (I’m not sure how much more there will be as the post Christmas CC bill is, as ever, larger that I’d like!)9

Hello Greenbee. I read this diary from the start over Christmas. You are so dynamic and assertive with your various tradespeople.
I am in awe!6 -

Next house will either be a brand new eco build or a major eco-renovation. I want solar PV & thermal, airsource heat, rainwater harvesting, grey water recycling, passive house standards, smart home technology - and importantly to know that there are minimal running costs. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I've also realised that if that's what I want I'll probably have to build it myself, which will mean camping for a couple of years.4 -
