Hello greenbee - I'm glad you got back from that mega American trip, but sorry to hear you've still got a temperature - doesn't sound you've slowed down at all, I hope you're getting lots of sleep. With regard to plans, you sound like me - cleaning, DIY, thought experiments. Go for it
2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
This morning I was signed off work for a week to rest with 'suspected coronavirus'. Half an hour later I got a call to say I need to go in, so at 4 o'clock I'll be phoning the surgery to be let in via the side door and met by someone in full PPE. While they say it's unlikely that I'll develop more serious symptoms after this length of time, it's a bit scary.

Very sorry to hear that, greenbee - I hope they've got antivirals or symptom treatments they can give you. Thinking of you.

The wait was, as always, the most stressful bit. They checked lungs etc and all fine, so now it’s a case of resting and hoping that the rest goes away - particularly the fatigue. My temperature was down when I went (and I checked when I got home to make sure it wasn’t my thermometer!) so hopefully at day 22 that means the fever is finally going!
I’m obviously not going to be able to see my mum any time soon, which is a worry. And she won’t have any company except people she passes on her walks. She does have help in the house and garden, I think the indoor help will probably stop, but hopefully the outdoor help can continue as they won’t need to come into contact and they are all self-employed people who need the money.
I ordered a raised bed and cover yesterday which I hope can still be delivered, and will call the local garden centre today to find out whether they can deliver topsoil, compost, plant food and seeds. A friend has offered to shop for me on Thursday morning, which still appears to be allowed - I think we’re allowed to eat while in isolation!4 -
Really good to hear you're at home! It sounds like you did have the coronavirus? I know its hard for you, but please take it easy - at one stage, I was reading a lot about relapses, though I'm guessing you already know about all that.

GP is as sure as she can be without testing. They’re getting more and more anecdotal evidence about symptoms, so taking very detailed histories. I think relapses are where there is fibrosis so your system is compromised. But information is limited, confused (complicated by all the misinformation). And until there is an antibody test we can’t assume anyone is immune.
i’ve got Online pilates shortly, then plan to potter about until online yoga tonight.5 -
Good to hear. Enjoy the pilates - I'm waiting till my breakfast is digested a little more before playing the youtube vid I'm aiming for.
