It's the advantage of having ended up by a house that's far too big. I have room for excess stuff…

Great idea on WM & TD.

I don’t use the TD much beanie, but I think it earns its keep when I do! I got a heat pump one when I moved here as I didn’t want to drill another hole in the wall - and it turns out that’s the best option with solar/batteries, so a good move. As I have the space I’m hoping that separating the pet bedding/towels might actually prolong the life of the better ones, and mean I’m better at keeping on top of washing dog beds in particular. I don’t really want the house to smell too doggy!
Despite the horrid weather (sleet - mostly rain, with the odd snowflake, but very cold), I’ve stuck to the new routine (all of two days 😂) of a pre-breakfast walk with Stinky. Animals have had their Sunday sardine and cats have expressed their opinion about the weather. I’ve run the septic tank pump (I hope DHL decide to deliver the new one soon as this is getting tedious). And while I was waiting for my coffee I put the dry washing up away and got more dog/cat food out of the freezer to defrost.
I washed the cat feeders last night so they are now relatively clean (not-Fatty has left bits of sardine all over her mat for some reason, but Stripey cat will probably clear them up if she doesn’t). I think a sort out of pet bowls is in order - I’ll keep the spares, but put them somewhere out of the way.
I’m hoping for a fairly relaxed day - a bit of laundry, cooking and freezing pulses, some short walks, and some reading in front of the fire. Possibly putting up pictures in the bathroom (which has been on the list for months). And obviously Pilates when I’ve finished my coffee and feel like dragging myself out of bed.

Didn't light the fire given I was going out in the evening. Didn't do laundry either, as it snowed enough to cover the panels. Went for a long walk - it was mostly rain when we left, and by the time we came back, Stinky was covered in snowflakes! Did get the carlin peas cooked. So a quiet afternoon reading and napping, then a nice evening out with neighbours. However, the late night and couple of glasses of wine meant a slow start this morning.
Very short pilates session, but washing and DW on as it was unexpectedly sunny, and a cold but sunny walk. Was back just in time for a shower before starting work. Hoping there'll be enough daylight for the solar to power the TD this afternoon, as I'd like the towels to go through it rather than drying on the airer.
Still haven't done building notice or put up the pictures in the bathroom.
Have shoved a load of cooked beans in the freezer and moved some things that need eating from the outside freezer to the inside one, and some bits from the inside freezer to the fridge. And probably need to soak some more pulses and get them cooked to keep supplies up!

Still haven't done the building notice or put up pictures.
Have done pilates, cooked BNS for Stinky, washed and dried his bed, washed the cleaning cloths, been for a long walk, had a shower and washed my hair, dispensed lunch, eaten lunch, done a bit of work.
Dog bed is pretty disgusting even after washing (and there are others that need washing too). So now he doesn't eat them, I'm in the market for washable dog beds - which means ones that come apart enough to fit in a normal WM. He loves the fluffy donut beds, but I think he only needs one of those. I need something in my office, and probably need to replace the one in the garden room. The bed in the car is small, but seems OK (probably needs a wash too!). TBH he mostly lies on the floor in the sitting room and garden room, so I probably just need something that is clearly identifiable as his space. I do think he needs something a bit cosier in the kitchen though.

Exhausting day off… gardener messaged yesterday to say he was coming today, so no lie in (even if Stripey cat had permitted it). Up early and fitted in a walk before breakfast, fed everyone, opened curtains/blinds, gave the gardener stuff to do, prepped and started freezing lick mats, did Pilates, had a shower, packed up the car, and went to meet a friend for a walk.
Came home, late lunch, then went out to take soft plastics to recycling and get a few bits from the supermarket - hardly any tills open and a very slow couple with a huge amount of shopping in front of me. But did acquire some cardboard boxes. Lit the fire, dealt with a delivery, and then took Stinky for a last walk… at which point he decided he was going to limp occasionally. Got back, checked his feet and found a lump - called the vet while I was closing blinds and got a 6pm appointment… so fed cats, shoved Stinky in the car, and took him to the vet (he wasn't bothered about not being fed when I told him where we were going). Small cyst, so need to clean it twice a day and treat with steroid spray at bedtime. She also said that part of the problem is that his pads are very dry, so clearly I'm going to have to reinstate pedicures with paw balm or coconut oil or something (all of which I expect he'll try to eat).
Dog fed, food shoved in oven, and am waiting for it to heat up. No people cooking done, and haven't done the kongs, paid the plumber, paid the gardener, or submitted the building notice. If I didn't have to stay up until Stinky's bedtime I'd be in bed by now! Very fed up with LC and the fatigue as it gets in the way of life.
Bitterly cold today, so I wouldn't have done the work in the garden I'd planned. Joints and muscles all painful, which may be the weather or may be a crash coming on.

Definitely a crash. Could barely function today - dog has had 4 very short walks and is looking sad. I've done very little other than take him out and feed him and the cats.
Karcher have finally decided to send out another pump as the first one they sent out seems to have been lost by DHL. Not impressed with how slow they were to chase up/attempt to resolve it. Luckily the pump is still working and can be turned on and off at the consumer unit, otherwise I'd be in trouble by now after weeks with a broken pump in the septic tank.
Chased Dunhelm for the curtains that were due on 22nd Jan and they'd then said were waiting on fabric being delivered on 8th Feb. They have no info, so are chasing their suppliers - if the fabric isn't available I'd like my money back (with compensation for the time they've had it), and to return the matching blind that has already been delivered and get that refunded. Can I get them to compensate me for the additional heating? Frankly I CBA to go and look for an alternative, but I know I really do need to rather than waiting till next winter!
Still haven't submitted the building notice, and need to do that before the builders are back from holiday so at least I can truthfully say that I'm waiting on the council!
Did lick mats, but need to cook more BNS so I can do the rest of the kongs. Having to wash Stinky's paws is a PITA as he hates it. Apparently putting his paws in a washing up bowl is cruel to a dog who regularly plays in puddles. I've been putting coconut oil on just before I give him a kong in the hope that some of it sinks in to his paws and he doesn't eat all of it!
Need to find something mindless to watch on TV until Stinky's bedtime.

Sympathies on the crash. I’m feeling a bit that way myself today (not to your degree I suspect though) and it is just so draining looking at all the things that need doing …
Still tomorrow is another day. Hopefully we will both feel a bit brighter if we can sleep well tonight. How long do your crashes usually last?

You seem to do so much no wonder you’ve crashed. I hope you pick up soon but take it easy in the meantime.
