Thanks for the link, harrys nan, but I think it's flawed.

    According to the link I'm a 32HH.

    That's nonsense.
I know that I cannot get a 34 bra fastened around me, let alone a 32.
I know because I still have some 34 bras that are too pretty to throw away and I've just tried to fasten them. :o
Well, it's nonsense unless I've misunderstood the terms 'tight' and 'snug'. :rotfl:

The cup size isn't too far out.
The last bra I bought was a 36G.

This is the first time I've heard of this 'new' way of measuring your bust size.

It's a pity I didn't realise I was wearing the wrong size bra - there's always lots of small back/big cup bras in M&S and Debenhams sale.

Who are 'Boob or Bust' anyway?

I wasn't sure to start with, but it sure puts M&S out of the running. Try a bra on in the size it say's you are and just see.Don't forget the band size in relationship to the cup size is what counts. I did find a 34 band too tight, but as I said I went for a 36 (cos I know better) and a 36 became to lose after a couple of washes
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

    Harry born 23/09/2008
New baby grandson, Louie born 28/06/2012,
Proud nanny to two beautiful boys :j
And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better

    UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted

The band size is what goes round you from front to back and under your breasts.
There is no way I'm a 32 bra size.

But next time I'm in town I will try a size 32 and report back.

I've always had a big bust, have always worn decent bras - even before M&S sold big cup bras and I know how to measure myself.
I've been measured periodically and have always been wearing the right size.

    I really am not a 32.
  • I love to play devil's advocate so I thought I would try on whatever the suggested size is next time I go near a shop - but I don't think I've got the b**** to pick up a 30F and take it in a changing room! I can't even go down the "bigger bust" aisle accidently without going bright red and running anyway, lest someone think I have aspirations above my station!

I guess it will make some women more aware of their bra size, probably may not work for everyone, I'm not in any way connected with them, just thought I would share the link

    And my wife isn't a 28G.

However, as you said to me earlier, if that is the size she is, that is what she is.

BTW the calculator thing is spot on.

Honestly, I found it very interesting and when I've got more time I'll have another go (because I don't believe the size it gave me) and have a read of the other stuff on the website as well and I'll measure myself using the 'old' method too.
    So thanks. :)

Your old 34 bras don't fit because they are 2" too small. They were labelled using the old system. If you bought them tomorrow, they would very likely have 30 on them and they still would still be 2" too small. You would need to go for the next size up... 32.

32 is the old 36. That is the size you are.

So how do you explain this:

I know from the feel of my 36G bra - bought last week - that a 32 will not fit me.

    36G fits me.
    Fits me properly.
    I am not a 32.

Is it a brand that uses the old system or the new system?

Unless you used to wear 40" bras, it is unlikely to be the new system.
